@ghostofgolden: I'm not sure if there are any other PC VR headsets that support HDR, I wonder if there is an issue with that?

The loss of eye tracking and all the haptic feedback, adaptive triggers are much bigger losses imo. Hopefully these things can be modded in.

There’s a few games that I’ve gone back to over the years that continue to be a blast. Rocket League and Trackmania quickly come to mind. Those are the kind of games that I enjoy. Competitive, arcadey fun.

@Naylord: Thank you!! Folks will wast their time playing some bullshit just because it was cheap or free. Your time is more valuable than any amount of money will ever be

Update:

Feature differences with PS VR2 on PS5

PS VR2 was designed from the ground up specifically for PS5 – so you'll notice that some key features, like HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback (other than rumble), are not available when playing on PC. However, other high-fidelity and sensory immersion features of PS VR2 are supported, including 4K visuals (2000 x 2040 per eye), 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, and see-through view, as well as foveated rendering (without eye tracking) and 3D Audio in supported games.

😬

A driving game with a big facial animation and mocap budget, QTE races and walk and talk narrative beats...

I'm starting to think those FMV games from the 90's were ahead of their time

Well I was gonna play Hellblade 2, but Xbox Live seems to be going through something right now. Can't sign in or connect on console or PC. Minecraft appears to be down for folks on Twitter and Era.

I already said I wouldn't buy the game because it won't function based on the choices of the publisher. There's no drama in it from my end (surprisingly). The word "boycott" was initiated by Golden... You can ask him what he meant? Not sure.

I don't lose sleep on any game. God of War plays wonderfully on steam deck. I was happy to pay them for the game. If they don't want my cash-ola then we move on down the road.

Not buying the game is petty and bitchy. 🙃

I can't believe we have reached the point where people have become so dedicated at shilling that they are now attacking gamers who choose not to buy or support a game. I guess cancel culture strikes again.😂 Imagine if I gave a shit about random internet gamers opinions on my purchases. I will be as miserable as they are. Well to be fair, I just suffered through the poorly made game called Hellblade 2, so I am miserable.😔

OP asked who would be protesting... Eroica said, "Sony would rather link people to a nonsense service no one wants instead of paying their Devs." How are they not paying their Devs?! That's 100% hyperbole. 2 years post launch the devs have more than likely received all incentive based bonuses and all contract work has been completed. This port will likely only impact PlayStation profits. Antwan said, "If you disagree with a clearly anti-consumer practice that affects you directly, you're being "bitchy" The dude lives in the U.S. and has a Windows laptop... It may not run the game too well, but all he has to do is create a PSN account... The horror!

Again, PlayStation paid for publishing, development, marketing and the port. It's their game. They owe you nothing... Don't like it, don't buy it. But y'all wanna act all upset on the internet and goof on the folks that don't agree with you. It's really odd. Pedro saying "cancel culture strikes again" is pretty ironic since he's the one that's trying to "cancel" PlayStation for exercising their rights as the owner and developer of an IP. What's also odd is dude would have never played and suffered through Hellblade 2, but is contractually obligated to do so to keep his Lem card.

Seems like a simple concept to me too. 🤷🏾‍♂️I don’t get on the internet and tell corporations they’ve “lost a sale” by not catering to my specific needs. And claiming this is “treating devs like crap”… Hyperbole all around

Way to stand up for the corporations guys! You're doing a great job... 🙄

Not giving a corporation money is standing up for a corporation? I have to not give them money AND bitch about it on the internet too?

Let's not confuse things. You're advocating for psn log in prioritized over accessibility. One of these things benefits Sony, one of them benefits gamers.

The game not being available where PSN isn’t available is one thing. But folks willingly not playing the game solely because they have to spend 47 seconds creating a PSN account is silly to me. It’s like the PC gamers that refuse to play games on EGS.

In the end it’s their game. They published it. They paid for development. They are paying for the port. They can distribute the game however they want. And I can choose to pay them to consume the game or not. There’s bigger and better things to spend my internet outrage on.

@ghostofgolden: How did you come to that conclusion?

I mean I don't keep.up with the sport, but didn't some Asian player just get signed for a hundred million or something? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

So can't be dead/dying if the players are still getting a fortune to play. So ratings and attendances must still be strong.

Shohei Ohtani. The dude is a unicorn though. He deserves every penny. The NFL and NBA hand out hundred million dollar contracts like candy though. And not all markets do well in MLB. Theres currently no way for me to watch the Detroit Tigers outside of subscribing to an app because of contract disputes/ratings issues. Baseball has been going through an identity crisis lately with the league trying rules changes in order to speed the game up and keep up the action. The ratings for the 29 and under crowd are abysmal. And the 2023 World Series was the least watched ever.
