@R4gn4r0k: I'm impressed with the new Perfect Dark, the gameplay has restored my interest, I had my doubts if it didn't turn out well due to the reports of having development problems. I'm just glad MS was able to show it off. Totally getting it.

Am I the only one that thought they were looking at a new Mirrors Edge?!

That is some real shit prices.đŸ˜‚

Especially with a few places selling the X today for $399. That $349 1TB Series S couldn’t look less appealing

@ghostofgolden: I guess this tells us there won't be a mid-gen refresh coming from Xbox Series with those shitty prices.

That or we may need to brace ourselves for some more expensive than usual hardware.

There‘s only 1 way to settle the pushup debate… Post videos of yourselves doing push-ups lol

I try to go all the way down and all the way back up. Not super fast, but not real slow either. Just nice and controlled. I can usually get around 45 before I start getting fatigued.

If Xbox stated that was their approach it was a dumb comment because there's just no precedent for human behavior to act that way. At least not on a macro scale.

Gamepass, like all sub services across the entertainment mediums are not used "in addition" to buying the content from the sub, they're used as the means of entertainment wholly.

We were told Game Pass would increase game sales because of exposure. It was a PR talking point that a few folks here parroted many times.

Recently I been into running I have been consistently going for short run at around 5 AM for 2 month now. I dont have the best cardio for it I am only able to run for 1 km (0.6 miles) before slowing to catch my breath. Usually I go for 4 km run every morning. Pace is pretty awful my best is 5mins on first 1km but usually drop to 8-9min per km.

Should eat healthier too.... my next project.

Hey, you've been doing it for 2 months now. The hard part is over. Just keep it up and you'll notice the improvements you're looking for.

One thing I learned about dropping times is that you've gotta monitor your heart rate, and train in zone 2 (low intensity steady state) for long periods of time. What that will do is improve your VO2 max which will lower your heart rate at your higher speeds which will increase endurance. Maybe find a trail with a lot of hills, or a treadmill that you can incline and substitute a couple of your runs with a 60 minute brisk walk. I know when I started doing that, I was able to run at a 8 minute mile pace at a heart rate that was 15-20bpm lower. Which allowed me to run longer before I would gas out.

Eating healthier is what I struggle with as well. I can do it for a couple months at a time, but I like food too much. I've become better with holding myself accountable though. If I eat pizza and have some beers or something, I become obsessed with doing extra cardio the following day to counter the surplus. It's much harder for me during the NFL season because I end up watching football instead of working out. And watching football is usually accompanied with wings, snacks and beer. I'm really thinking about getting one of those low profile treadmills that people get for their office, and using it while I watch games.

315 is pretty good. Better than about 99% of people I think. Maybe even 99,5% or higher. Hitting 405lbs for reps... Well it is doable for a few people. Though unless you're competing, you're most likely never going to bench that much.

I work out in a commercial gym, among people here, even the bigger ones. Most aren't benching 2 plates for reps. Hell few will squat with anything more than 2 plates. Deadlift is only for those interested in it.

315 was my goal last year and I hit it pretty quickly. I feel like I could go a little higher, but I lift in my garage without a spotter. And I've pinned myself once or twice before. It's not fun lol.

The last time I went to a public gym was a few months ago when I was in North Carolina for work. I went to a Planet Fitness thinking it was gonna mostly be soccer moms and senior citizens. There were some big ass dudes in there! Which surprised me because there are only smith machines for barbell work. I wasn't really paying attention to what everyone was lifting, but I would guess there were a dozen+ that could rep 225 on the bench. I agree that *most* aren't hitting 225, but it may be more common than you think these days. Fitness and lifting is more popular than ever.

Regardless I am real proud of my progress in the past 2 years, I went from being morbidly obese to being pretty darn healthy and fit. All while building up habits that work for me. Both nutrition and exercise!

Congrats! That kind of transformation is a serious accomplishment. It’s success stories like yours that help keep me motivated.
