@uninspiredcup: You’re truly a legend in your own mind. 🤭
Seriously though, why not provide the source? I’m actually curious to see what else was said, after all.

@agent_stroud: hey on a scale of 1-10
How offended were you when you found out that one of the walls in stellar bade had the word Hard written in graffiti near a neon sign that had an R on it. On a scale of 1-10 just curious how high this ranks in offensiveness.
@sargentd: Not as offended as Sony was apparently, as they forced Shift Up to change that graffiti pronto. 😏
Reminds me of when Wolfenstein 2 censored Hitlers silly mustache 🤣
"Yeah it's literaly hitler... but atleast we got rid of the mustache.. we good Germany??"
Yep, that's stupid.
Didn't bother playing it cause MachineGames suck, there to play an FPS, not watch your movie.
@sargentd: Same, so why ask me that out of left field when I was talking about Doom in response to Buttercup’s increasingly snarky posting? 🤨
@uninspiredcup: That’s not what the Doom Wiki (the real one, not the Fandom one) says, bud. Wanna try again? 😏
The version of E1M4 in Doom 1.0 contained an inverted swastika-shaped structure (see the map to the right), in homage to Wolfenstein 3D. It was later changed to a traditionally oriented swastika in version 1.2. The symbol was changed again in version 1.4, this time to a shape that only loosely resembles a swastika, shifting the vertical connectors horizontally outward. The Atari Jaguar port of Doom, based on version 1.2, instead chose to delete the vertical appendages altogether.
In regards to this, John Romero has commented:[4]
"Yes, [in Commander Keen 5] there is a swastika in one of the levels, one of my levels to be exact, but I removed it shortly after the game was released because people were upset that an evil symbol was in a cute kid's game (the changed version is in the screenshot). It was a premonition of things to come, namely, Wolfenstein 3D. I also put a swastika in Doom's E1M4 as a Wolf3D reference, but I changed it later for the exact same reason."
https://doomwiki.org/wiki/E1M4:_Command_Control_(Doom)
I think right there.. you proved cup right with the quote by John Romero.. lolol
@sargentd: He said nothing about being requested by a family member or whatever Buttercup said, hence why I wanted to read Buttercup’s source since that’s the first time I’ve heard of it. Not sure why there’s such an issue with Buttercup providing the source, but whatever.

You provided the source bud, Romero basically said he removed it because dumb pussies couldn't handle seeing an evil symbol in a "cute kids game"

lol
@sargentd: “There is no "another". It's what he said, directly. It was requested, not demanded, which he done out of respect.
While the presence of a swastika would have caused Doom to be banned in Germany (where the display of Nazi iconography in video gameswas illegal, regardless of context), and not just restricted to adults due to the game's graphic violence, according to developer John Romero, the symbol was removed after an objection to its presence was sent to him by a veteran of World War II.
The people who demanded, objecting to Doom were 1. Germany (because of that whole Hitler guy thing) 2. People blaming it for school shootings such as Columbine High School massacre 3. A general "video games cause violence scare"
This, not the swastikas was the was people were outraged by with correlation between video games and real world violence being dubunked. The people in question of high moral value (let me check my notes)... Oh.
Dumb pussies..
All of which, you've ignored, which I directly highlighted Because it makes you look dumb. And proves my point, completely right.
Which I am. Which to reiterate, is deeply impressive stuff.”

That was what I was wanting the source for, minus the ad hominems. 🥱
Yep, that's stupid.

There is a mod now that lets you fast forward the movies and lets you even mute Blazko and his GF and Grace.

8-10 ey...So not so much a stellar blade..more an average one.
5 would be average. 8 means great.
Not according to cows...Starfield is shit at 7-10 and 85 meta.
I like to remind saps of the forever changing sony fanboy narratives.
If it ain't a 9 or a 10 its average Here.

That's a damn shame😑
@saint-george: Xbots hyped Starfield as a TLOU-killing, GOTY winning masterpiece that would beat Baldur's Gate 3 and Zelda:TOTK and end up being the GOTG ahead of games like Elden Ring.
That's why it was absolutely hilarious when reality hit and Starfield got a 7/10 on GS, 7/10 on IGN and a Metacritic score of 83/100, making it the 74th highest rated game of 2023, when it Xbots thought it would be #1.
People like me accurately predicted this and knew it would get 7s and end up in the low 80s on meta.
Stellar Blade on the other hand is a completely innocent AA game that no one even expected to be good until about 2 or 3 months ago, until we actually good the demo and found out the gameplay is really good. No one even expected this to be nominated for GOTY let alone win it.
@R4gn4r0k:
The logic is pretty simple really.
One game is viewed more as a joke and hyped from 70-90 metacritic and possibly nothing more than a wankfest or best case scenario a good soulslike. It landed exactly in the middle lol.
The other was hyped to be 96/100 metacritic, GOTD, GOTG, GOAT and failed absolutely miserably at that.
@Mozelleple112:
Tlou and TLOU2 both scored an 8..who the F@#k has games getting an 8 as a benchmark 🤣😂
@saint-george: THe 95 on metacritc, most awards in gaming history, Co-op64's greatest game of all time, Empire's greatest game of all time, gaming industry's second best game of all time, GI's number 2 best game of all time, IMDB's highest rated game of all time, etc, etc. TLOU1 the conensus video game GOAT. (TLOU2 also top 10)
Starfield top 10,000 at best.

But I had fun with Starfield 🤷♂️
Meanwhile I saw Stellar Blade reviews and yeah it's more than clear to me what people are so hyped about for in this game... (it's not the combat or missions).
Sorry but I can't understand how other people are so obsessed with how other people look, how they think, how they rate certain games. I'm a smart man that can think for himself and I'm more than capable of playing video games and judging them for myself.
This herd mentality needs to die and the quicker the better.

You Ain't posting on metacritic,your posting on a site that gave both TLOU games an 8.
You can shit in your hands and clap but them's just facts
@R4gn4r0k: Good that you had fun in Starfield. I tried it for 50+ hrs and didn't really get to a point where I enjoyed it.
I simply answered your question as to the logic behind slandering Starfield's 83 on metacritic, while Stellar Blade's 82 metacritic is getting praised. It's a very sound logic.
I believe Halo Infinite and Hifi Rush have the same metacritic score, yet one gets slaughtered and the other praised as an amazing game. Its cause of their respective hype levels-
If TLOU3 released and got 82 on metacritic I would be utterly devastated. Thankfully we know ND only makes masterpieces so 93-99 @ metacritic quality is guaranteed.

Some peeps that are biased PS fanboys are mad that Starfield got an 85.
@kvallyx:
And mad that even if it scored a 5 starfield was still successful.....saps can't make their minds up if it's sales or games that win console wars...it's neither....it's not a war when its bring fought by clowns...it's a circus
As an experiment (bored) randomly picked a review from Google news and skim it to see what they say.
So, Metro.

I've played 3 hours so far, I'm still in the honeymoon phase but I'll give you all the quick rundown of what I liked and didn't like so far. Good parts:
The only thing I don't like so far you have to find a lot of codes to progress the game in pretty much every area. Just feels dated if you ask me. That demo progress did not appear to come over, but I won't dock points for it but it was a little annoying have to reply and watch everything. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase and this is probably the only PS5 game I'm happy to play since God of War: Ragnarok.
@SecretPolice: It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was an Xbox exclusive game, it'd have scored lower.
I hear they finally released a day one patch to make it less sexy, by Sony's decree. Perhaps limited to outfits with cleavage from what I've heard.
The controversy seems to have helped the sales. They just announced one millon sales.
Until people realized Sony backpedaled on the game immediately. I think the masses are finally seeing the frauds in action even though this has been going on for years.
PC is the only platform that matters these days and IMO Sony should be sued for marketing fraud.
Apparently, it sold 1M in 24 hours. That would be great news for a new IP. All that controversy seems to have paid off.
UNCONFIRMED REPORT: Shift Up is set to reveal that Stellar Blade sold 1 million copies in 24 hours🚀

An outstanding achievement for a brand new IP from a studio mostly experience with mobile gaming making their first console AAA #PS5 exclusive!
Are you playing?😎

I saw this on Twitter. Now, things have flipped. The leftists are praising the game and the alt-right have turned against it. Funny...
