Yu-Gi-Oh: World Championship 2008 review by Atx-1246

I'm posting this on Yugioh: WC 2008. I've had the game since it came out, so I guess I'll write a review.

Gameplay: The gameplay of the game is the usual of any Yu-Gi-Oh game you'll play out there, more deck combos, more packs, new places to explore, and of course: The Classic Yu-Gi-Oh Computer AI. YGO WC 08 also features the new "Duel World" mode, where you travel around 6 different worlds one at a time and experience new ways of dueling: Tons of restriction duels (normally at the end of each world and most of World 5) a "Brainwashing Duel", where your duel is controlled by the AI, which has no clue of your combos and strategy, surprisingly no Shadow Games (of course after they grow on you. Betting your soul has become part of the YGO Universe) or you can go into World Championship mode for Wi-Fi and other kinds of duels.

Difficulty: The game's difficulty is pretty good, rarely challenging but good. Risking your Wi-Fi rating is probably one of the best things added, slightly improving the difficulty of Dueling. However, the computer AI is pretty retarded, sort of "resisting" to use a computer's most powerful deck combinations, sometimes to your advantage.

Wi-Fi: A new feature, wi-fi dueling. Finally, a wi-fi enabled YGO game. You can download a card daily, and Duel Puzzles and "Ghost" Duelists are added, sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly. You can duel anyone in the world at random, and download users off the Leaderboard that are within your Wi-Fi rating as Ghosts to duel/add to your tag team.

You can Structure Deck duel, Practice if you don't want to risk your rating, or a ranked duel to gain/lose your wi-fi rating. You can duel friends and get your Friend Code to add them to your Roster, allowing Tag Duels with them or just Rank Dueling. However, Wi-fi could use more features like wi-fi card trading.

Wi-Fi rating: 9.5/10

Overall: Overall, this is a pretty good game. I'd buy it now, but considering WC 09 is on its way (I've heard that, some people say it might not be released. Time will tell.) I'd wait for it to release, allowing you to keep up to date.
