This game is extremely addictive. Racing + Card Game + Strategy = Wicked FUN!!! But presentation is average.

This game is suprisingly fun, and sickly addictive. But not right away. If you were to judge this game by each of its seperate categories, it wouldnt score very well. The graphics are average, music, average, story? What story? The story mode is really short and not very involved. The racing is average and even the card game isnt as good as previous yu-gi games. Further criticism is the lack of any in-game tutoral (no tutoral? wtf? ) and animation in the cut scenes for the story mode. All in all the overall presentation is very average. The developers didnt bother to put to much into these caterogaries. So then with all that said, why the 8.5 score? Because the actual race battles are so dang fun you simply wont care. If you grade this game on gameplay alone and how fun it is, then the games a 10!

So even tho you wont be overly impressed by this game at the begining, once you get a hang of battling/dueling and get a good deck built up, you will be having so much fun you will be willing to overlook any of the games short comings.

The card game aspect isnt as deep as the Tag Force or Stardust Acc but its fast paced and... EXCITING! It takes card dueling to a whole new level. Other Yu-Gi games may be deeper and more involved but this game is actually FUN.

One last thing, they did a suprisingly good job of making this game as close to the action of the anime as possible. Lets face, there are not alot of racing/strategy games out there. Certianly not card based ones. Over all, this game gets a 7.5 for average game design and presentation, but I had to give it an extra point for being so much fun. If you like the anime your gonna love this, but you have to get past the first few hours of game play. Once you get a full deck, your gonna love it.
