I like the style and everything.
But... no MetallicA and Iron Maiden? Really?...
What's up with that, licensing too expensive or something?

Oh well, I wouldn't buy it for the music though.
Just strange the bands aren't in there.

I think this game is trying to prove that metal has died out in the U.S and it has to come back, with those gay jonas brothers retards ruling the U.S i really have no idea whats going to happen. When will another legend like Ozzy or Mustaine make his appearance....sigh.........only time will tell i guess.\m/

Curious question... I recently bought this game, and was wondering if I am mistaken, or maybe the settings on my TV, or PS3 are wrong. But, on the packaging of this game states that it supports 1080P... I have a Sony Bravia 1080P HDTV... Yet, when I play this game, it states that it's being played at 720P...

Furthermore... When I try to "force" 1080P, It reverts to 480P... So, I was wondering if this holds true for everyone else here that owns the game. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

@Kvon403 yes i realise that the side quests do add alot more gameplay... but you have to asmit that the main quest is short. This has become one of my favorates so i am in no way dissing this game, all im saying is the main quest could be a bit longer. Furthermore i dont plan on boring of the multiplayer anytime soon. and the main quest is fun for multiple playthroughs and achievment hunting.

Hey Kingrutoz go watch the slapchop autotune vid on Youtube and tell me how much talent it takes to do hip hop. Almost all hip hop songs steal or pay for the background tracks from old songs. Rarely do they do anything original so don't tell me I'm biased and ignorant. Funny how many 80's metal tracks are being re-used in hip hop mixes!

Man, the multiplayer in this game has really hooked me, once I figured out the basics. It's really not that complicated and super fun.

Wtf is that stupid bar that keeps popping up at the bottom every 3 minutes? It's loud, obnoxious, and distracting. Other than that, this game is sweet, and the review did a good job of covering it.

Seriously though, who the hell is going to forget what game is being reviewed?

I am loving this game.. As a metal guitarist in bands all my life I tend not to pay attention to things that are pushed as being cool in this vein of material.. meaning game's that are supposedly metal in style or influence.. as the track listing is more often than not modern Metal or some new hybrid Metal or some kind that is NOT what influenced my music and playing. Ratt, Dokken, Savatage, Ozzy with Jake E Lee and with Randy Rhodes, Testament, Metal Church, Y&T, TNT, Death Angel, Megadeth, Alcatraz, Racer X, Ronnie J Dio, Overkill. etc etc

Oh did I say.. I Love This Game!!!

heh... Something I've noticed while perusing, but not contributing to Brutal Legend article comments, is that posting a comment with hip hop slang / ebonics, even if it's praising the game will get you thumbed down. Funny...

multiplayer is pretty damn fun, but it's also difficult compared to your typical RTS. While the objective and resource gathering mechanic is simple - there is a lot of quick thinking you have to do - it may look simple as killing the enemies base, but the way you go about it is not. you have to fly around to order your units, examine the situation, and place beacons for you units to go to

Having the choice of whether to use your hero to harass your the enemy, and you have the worry about their hero harassing your army (this happens a lot at the start while your trying to seize fan geysers). Using the correct double team attacks for the appropriate situation, and actually knowing how to use each double team attack

Utilizing solos: sometimes you'll land near an enemy and use a solo to attack all nearby units, you can use ba solo to bolster your troops, there is a solo which does a huge AoE attack, and there are ones that change the weather in your favor. Plus there are others, which help you and hamper your enemy.

I find Brutal Legend's multiplayer has more complexity than what meets the eye - you may not see that in the AI, but when you meet other players online you'll be finding yourself making split-second decisions. At least rent this game, and see it for yourself
