Microsoft has announced that it has signed a deal with Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts to promote its upcoming NFL football game for the Xbox, NFL Fever 2002. Manning will appear on the game's packaging and in the game's advertisements. Manning contributed to motion-capture sessions for the game and provided input to the game's producers.

"It was exciting to be a part of NFL Fever 2002 from its inception," Manning said. "I worked a lot with the game producers and gave them some tips on how to read defenses and pick the open receivers, and I think the game turned out incredible. I can't wait to play the guys in the locker room."

It was also announced that play-by-play and color commentaries in NFL Fever 2002 will be handled by Dick Stockton and Ron Pitts. Chuck D of Public Enemy has produced several songs for the soundtrack including a remix of "Welcome to the Terrordome."
