Repetitious to be sure, but can you really be a total f%@king badass too many times?

Movies based on comic books typically suck. Video games based on comic book movies are typically crimes against humanity.

Luckily, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an exception to the rule.

Firstly, let's discard the story. It's unimpressive but, fortunately, you'll never notice. It's basically a tale of revenge as Logan seeks out his older brother Victor Creed and kill him.

Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's get to the action. The addictive, fast paced, visceral and totally kick ass action.

Using Wolverine's claws, a number a special moves triggered by rage and hell of a lot of lunges, you will cut through hundreds of enemies on your path of destruction. There is some variation in the targets, but not much.

Wolverine's ability to survive just about anything is reflected in the game. Logan recovers health very quickly. This results in the game being kind of easy. Some have complained about it, but that's Wolverine for you. I'd rather the game stay true to the character than worry about the difficulty of the game.

As far as presentation, the voice acting and environments are very strong. The graphics are pretty good, but Wolverine's wounds, which gradually disappear in a pretty cool effect, look like crap.

Ultimately, this game is all about the hacking and slashing. Which in case I've forgot to mention, is f@#king awesome.

And now, bub, we check out the Simps-o-Meter.
