While there's fun to be had if you're a fan of Wolverine others will find the beat 'em up adventure formula uninspiring.

Next to Batman, Wolverine has to be my favorite super-hero. Unfortunately, our metal clawed mutant has even less luck getting a good inspired video game than our Gotham City vigilante.

The typical beat-em up formula is employed here and while this fits Wolverine's style, the game uses uninteresting puzzles and reuses the same bad guys with very little variation.

You will find that Wolverine's moves are interesting though the lunge move is the most powerful and most fun.

Everything in this game gets old and repetitive except the simple amazing ways in which Wolverine can unleash his furry upon his enemies. I see no reason to replay this game and found a few certain areas to be simply infuriating because while the difficulty level in this game is quite easy, some areas it becomes nigh impossible to figure out what the game wants you to do to move to the next section.

Without giving anything away, there was one area where I had to use a pencil to get the rapid button smashing effect to get past a boss quick-time event. Where did these movie-button smashing game sequences come from and how come they're in more and more games?

The only reason I gave this game the high rating I did is because I am a huge wolverine fan and while I wish a better Wolverine game was out there to be played, sadly this is the best we've got.
