I had high expectations for this game and last night I bought it because IGN gave it a 9.1 but the game really deserves a 7.6 I can admit it is an improvement from the first one but that is it. The graphics are neat and all but the gameplay stinks. I am a huge fan of WWE but Thq really messed up the whole story mode, you can't edit your match you have good guys teaming up with bad guys there is no storyline at all no belts can be brought to the ring and there is only a few cutscenes. In some of the cutcenes you get attacked but someone who hurts you in a cutscene interferes in your match on your behalf. Also as far as the stables go you are only limited to three people to a stable and there are only a minimum amount of stables available. The tables crack but two easily and when you use the d pad to move your character it is hard to control. Also there is a time limit in every match which you can't turn off. They really messed up rey mystereo's mask and outfit. The sound quality is ok for some of the game but it skips for some of the entrances. There is no announcers and when you set up a stable and edit the entances you have to time everything perfect. There is only one true cutscene that is played all the darn time it has the limosine drive up and the champion gets out then that is it. Also you can not pick any brand to be on everyone is on smackdown and raw. and there is raw then smackdown then a pay per view then repeats. They really messed up the story mode. But the grappling system is better than raw 1 but not enough moves they could of done so much more to this game. i think Xbox worrys more about graphics then actual gameplay. if your looking for a great wrestling game you should go with smackdown series the graphics are not all that good but you get a real feel for the true wrestling experience so i recommend you either rent it or borrow it from a friend. Don't waste your money like i did i should of waited and rented it.
