In September 1st 2011, I received Wrecking Crew for the NES as part of the 3DS Ambassador Program. Wrecking Crew is a puzzle game by Nintendo which stars Mario and Luigi. The aim of this game is to destroy all the objects to complete the levels. Sounds easy, right? Well, sadly you are wrong. Apparently, because the hammer Mario/Luigi is carrying is very heavy, both of them cannot jump, which means you have to be careful in which route you decide to take, as you might trap yourself in a certain area and you will have to reset the game.

This game also has a Level Editor mode which allows you to create your own levels. This is a nice feature, but sadly, it is very hard to use and it is easy to make a mistake while navigating the options, so it's not a very easy mode to use, but it's nice that it's there. I like that the game is made more challenging by taking out the jump feature because it requires you to think about what paths you will take next. There are also enemies in the game that cannot be defeated but can be stunned or diverted by using the hammer. Fireballs also appear when you take too long in a level, like Mario Bros. Foreman Spike also appears in certain levels to disrupt your gameplay. Foreman Spike is rumoured to be an earlier version of either Wario or Waluigi because of his mustache and nose

Another problem this game has is the fact that if you get trapped in a certain area of a level, there is no option to re-start the level, which means that you will have to re-start the game or go back to the previous Restore Point if you are playing the game on 3DS.

Other than that, it is a great puzzle game and you should really check this game out if you haven't. It is available on Wii, 3DS and Wii U E-Shop for £4.49/500 Wii Points or you can get a copy of the game on an NES if you still own one.
