The first in a long line of brilliance.
At the time it was a completely new concept, Worms destroying each other with a wide variety of weapons both violent and humorous...fantastic. You take charge of 4 worms who jump and wriggle their was around a landscape trying to off the opposing worms.
I am all to aware, having owned a lot of them, that the Worms franchise has gone on to bigger and better things...but this is where it all began for me.
The graphical style was simple yet amusing and effective, the sound was also utilised in that comedy fashion.
It was the game-play that made it...as with all classics. Simple, turn-based and unbelievably addictive!
