Good gameplay yet somewhat less comfortable on a handheld.

For all those that like football (soccer) you have probably played a thousand different types of these games, well 4. PES, Football manager, FIFA and Champ Manager. But I'm sure you've played all the different releases and had your own favourite. For me it was FIFA and Champ manager for a long time, the gameplay I found great, unfortunately I never felt that those games did enough to bring alive the sport today. FIFA and Champ manager were great in the 90s but during the 21st Century they slipped up and PES and FM took over.

PES5 for the PSP is a great mix of gameplay, short decisions and fun. The managerial role is basic and simple, which is something that I like because I hate fiddling around before a game with career points, tallying everything up and it seems that the game is only secondary. Call me old fashioned.

The main problem I found with PE5 on the PSP, and some , probably most won't agree, is that I would much prefer playing the game with a full controller and a larger screen. In this way you really get a feel for the pitch, which I didn't seem to in the portable version.
