strangely addictive on lazy occasions, saves the trouble of walking up and turning on your console and TV

First before anything, know that I did not pay for this game in anyway, spending 4 hours straight with this game gives me a good idea of the somewhat generic experiance that will come with months of ownership. For all the smart guys out there, this means that had I payed for this title my score would be more abysmal then the current state. Now to begin.

Although I much prefer just gathering up with friends and a deck of cards and playing poker, betting punched to the arms, sometimes I wish I could just lazily play alone. This game delivers what I needed. It's much better then it's console brethrens even if the audio and graphics are downright fugly and the gameplay can be somewhat slow paced as if on slow down, because of the fact that's it's handheld, which gives it a more easy going feel.

The gameplay is basic poker, any other variation is still the same. You get two random cards as do your opponents, and you bet, raise, and hold as the dealer draws out the flop, turn, and river. Whoever has the best 5 poker hand wins. Pretty basic. This will go on in every match with virtual characters that resemble King kong and Godzilla with a cowboy hat and a game face on. True, you can travel the world winning money, moving up to fame, but that's just a gimmick to make you play, it's the same as replaying rounds. Maybe if the world was virtual..

It's high point is the gameplay which sticks to poker and texas holdem' right down to every last rule, it makes it realistic and fun to play, but it's high point is also it's downfall. Confused? Poker might be it's selling point, but that's the only thing there is, continues poker, nothing changes, and unlike playing with your friends, there are no challenge or surpise. The AI sucks. For hardcore poker fans that live for poker and when not playing poker with their friends instead play virtual poker, this is your game. For people that love poker but don't live by it's rules and addictions or are not hardcore fans, don't get it. Renting it for one week is fun, but after that it's pretty generic. Nevertheless if you're just a young boy sneaking games to class, best get a game like this, quick and fun in short burst.

There you have it, a Full House review.
