Sorry, I'm not convinced.
Well it has cutscenes and a backstory. You have to give them that. However, it's still the same old garbage. Just once I wish Blizzard would concentrate on doing something other than forcing a player to grind. There HAS to be something other than the same grinding game play. I'm done with this. It's just 10 more levels of the same thing in fact, I'm insulted by the simplicity of the environments and the landscape.
Unimaginable just begins to describe it. There's so much more they could do with this but they refuse because they got people hoodwinked into inserting their egos into their characters. Now it's death knights where you can now lord over everyone that you're a death knight.
WoW really needs to decide if they want to be a pve game or a pvp game because it definately is NOT a pvp game at all. There's no incentive to it at all other than gear. WOW is about acquiring gear and WOTLK is no exception. It's safe to say that it's apparent that whatever PVP content was created, is as terrible as it's always been. Actually I take that back, it's much, much worse then ever.
Blizzard developers remind me of politicians. Should they hear enough complaints about something, they'll drag out their computers, reprogram in the same way politicians pass laws and when they're done, you have such an incredible mess you don't even recognize where you were before.
The basics of WOW have been and usually will be, roll mage, warlock or shadow priest and maybe paladin. These three classes are so incredibly overpowered compared to straight melee classes that there's just no contest.
Just a note, after I cancelled my subscription, I went back a year later and guess what? Not one thing about this imbalance was changed. Absolutely, totally idiotic. It's clear that the WOW development crew decided that actually creating a Warcraft game was simply too hard and took the easy way out and just overpowered anything with magic to a point that rolling any other class is stupid. Of course, this is from a pvp perspective but really who doesn't want to play pvp?
My advice is not to fall for it. Get the hell out before you get in, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
