When Bethesda announced Wolfenstein The New Order back in 2013, I wasn't really excited about it.
After all the 2009 game, Wolfenstein was a very average title with some cool ideas and gameplay but with a lot of issues too.
And man I was fully wrong about it. The game was fantastic and one of quickly became on of my all-time favourite shooters.
The New Order is a true hommage to old-schoot shooters and to old good Wolfenstein games (Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein). The gameplay is super solid and visually it looked really nice.
Many didn't like the prologue and they were right about that. At first you feel it's a new Call of Duty or Medal of Honor with a quite boring pace, but right after that opening chapter you will discover a very solid gameplay, a well written story and some lovable characters.
The solid 16-hour campaign takes you to different locations from Poland, to Berlin, Gibraltar and even the Moon. It will be hard to get bored with Wolfenstein The New Order.
MachineGames did a fantastic with Wolfenstein The New Order and it deserved a strong 9/10.
