Fun game, despite the review.

Really enjoyed this one even though it doesn't break the mold in many ways. It offers a few challenges but hardly anything as frustrating as the review makes it seem. It's rather difficult to power level in this game, due to random battles being worth significantly less experience and CSP (xp for skills) than storyline battles; so progressing through the story is rewarding in that sense.

Admittedly the English voice acting is bad enough that I never was able to stand it for more than a few rounds of battle, so I played through it in Japanese.

If you're one of the people who thought FFT was too easy, you'll be happy to know that Wild Arms XF's enemies come equipped with decent weapons and skills that don't insult your intelligence. In summary: If you're looking for a game that pulls fewer punches, give it a shot.
