Aussie game charts: January 25-31

EA's Mass Effect 2 debuts at number one, while Nintendo continues to hold onto the majority of the top 10.

Mass Effect 2 for the Xbox 360 has become the first non-Nintendo Wii title in 2010 to take the top spot in the Aussie charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia. The PC version of Mass Effect also sold reasonably well, taking out the ninth spot.

The rest of the top 10 were mostly made up of Wii games, including Cricket, which made a return to the charts in seventh place, and Just Dance, which fell to number 10. The PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues to beat its Xbox 360 cousin (which didn’t even make it into the top 10), falling down into number eight.
