An underrated gem still worth playing in 2017

This is game that belongs to a certain golden age of gaming where middle market games were able to coexist with AAA games, One look at the game and you could say it's garbage, it's too damn short , it lacks any graphical punch, it's weapon animations are reused, has no voice acting for a dialogue heavy game and it has like only 3 or 5 music tracks for the entire game. So if it's a bad game by all generous standards then why am i playing it in 2017? Simple! Everything else good in this game is not only good but also UNIQUE! it is the only game i know which has a timeloop gameplay where you could do multiple different things that drastically alter the story and you do this by bizzaro world logic of playing the game over&over from stàrt and to further incentivise this the game has 51 swords for you to collect like pokemon and customize it. So Is this a great game? Absolutely not but it is a blueprint for a great game, it's just that no one has tried to make a game like this except for its own sequels and spin-offs that are more or less the same game with better graphics but none improve the shoddy combat system and rather just add useless sidequests which comes with a new time mechanic that breaks the whole timeloop gamplay which originally froze time until you completed a main event so it was fair as you had freedom to explore all options at a leisurely pace and do it all over without worrying about "running out of time" to participate in an event. So I have a hard time recommending any of its sequels that destroy the one thing that makes wos1 an underrated gem.
