I "think" the trailer and the gameplay videos have interchanged their places.

This trailer was pretty well done. I liked the music and voice-over. The game itself has some fun new mechanics (chars can die but can then be used as spells with other chars, for example).

This is a free-to-play game so I'm probably gonna check this out.

So this new MMO would be using a civil war setting for its brand new story. Well, that setting has been used a bit before, so pardon me for not giving a hoot about civilizations that crumbled from within.

However, the latching of spirits to players would be an interesting theme. I await the explanation of the mechanism for this feature. The site suggested that the avatars of players that died during the game can be resurrected or attached to other avatars (which in turn suggests that players can have more than one avatar, of course).

From the trailer, it seems like the bound spirit would act like a weapon independent of the player, though other MMOs have done similar things before (such as the offensive auras of a certain class in a certain other, very famous MMO RPG).

It would be very much more interesting if the player can trick out the spirit with all kinds of spectral equipment and buffs, without resurrecting the spirit as a mortal again to manually equip crap. However, one would be wise to question the usefulness of a "pet" character that is tethered to the player's body when compared to typical RPG "pets", who generally are sidekicks.

Also, what about the latency of the spirits? Would the spirits be controlled by the server? If so, we can expect graphical and gameplay issues of spirits not being properly tethered to the player, which then leads to the usual exploits and probably game-breaking glitches.

And there's gameplay balance. A player could technically kill off his hi-level old avatar and latch it to a new one, resulting in quicker leveling. This may not be fair to new players, who in turn are likely to resort to maxing out the number of players they can have, killing off some of them and latching them to the avatar that they ACTUALLY want to use. And would there be a mechanism to detect the power of a spirit attached to an enemy player during PvP?

I would like to mention the ethical issues of killing off avatars to empower one other too. This spirit-latching feature may well result in rather hideous habits.

If that's a gameplay video, this game is in a lot of trouble.

I loved MMORPG I've almost tried all betas in them. Though I don't grind and reach the endgame, it's still fun killing time. haha

Looks like another run of the mill hack-n-slash gather items and level RPG. If you enjoy these sorts of games, as I do occasionally-then it may be worth a try. Not much info on their site yet, not a good sign so I'll wait to render full judgment.
