Worth a rental, but definitely not a big time video game.

Wario is a fun character, with a very unique personality, so it was only a matter of time before he got his own big video game for a home console system. Until the game is actually played through, then its easy to see why Wario had only appeared mainly on handheld video game systems prior to this game. The problem with Wario is that his goal in his video games is pretty simplistic: find treasures, get treasures, and destroy anything between him and his treasures! The game is fun to be sure, there's just not a lot for it for the serious video game player. But for those who need to know, the plot of this game is that Wario has picked up a treasure which is having mysterious effects on Wario's castle. It has turned Wario's castle into a haunted frightfest and it has transformed Wario's treasures into vicious monsters! Now Wario must fight the monsters to turn them back into treasure and defeat the curse of the mysterious treasure in order to get his life back. One thing Wario has that Mario and Luigi don't is that in Wario's game, he doesn't need to use any gimmicky tools to achieve his goals, he can do it using his own skills! Now if the game had more characters, more interaction, and a meatier story, the game would be perfect! But for people who have a completely open weekend, this game is great for a rental! Also, people will get a taste of the Microgames series that Wario has created within this game! This game is fun, just not long enough to justify a big time purchase. But I still enjoyed this game, and I still recommend it to anyone looking for a good time. :) Enough said! ;)
