Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War is quite possibly the best real time strategy game I have ever played. See Why...

Lets first talk about the most important factor... gameplay.
Dawn of War has an easy learning curve. Its simple, capture
points which give you a vital resource called requisition that helps create units and build structures. The second resource is called power, which mainly helps
for upgrading and supporting your faction.
The squad based gameplay engine is very in depth, as each unit has their own squad cap, weapons and special abilities.
The wars are awesomely intense, as you can utilize the detailed environment to your advantage for covering. The battles have a Starcraft like feel to it; all out warfare, no mercy, and a stomach churning onslaught where most likely every unit WILL DIE a terrible death and leave with nothing on your mind but, ''Whoah, that was insane...''. It makes the games edge alot cooler and definitely gives it a darker feel. Heroes are available for use, some of them can be attached to squads, which can increase their strength and morale. No leveling system, but there are some advantageous powers that some heroes have. There are four main races to choose from in the Dawn of War universe, and they all have there own gameplay style.

The Orks are the unorganized, outnumbering, warring faction that pretty much
win in numbers. Eldar are the technological race that have powerful units
and vehicles. Chaos are the exact opposite of the Space Marine faction, they
believe in death disease and corruption, they utilize powerful and hellish
creatures. And last but not least the Space Marine. The Space Marine are pretty much the beginner faction in this game, they have equally balanced units and vehicles.
There is a campaign available to play in this game that focuses on the epic battles between good and evil of the 40k universe. But I found the campaign to be uninteresting. Also the multiplayer in my opinion isnt that great, my personal experiences were awful as it seems like everyone is in MLG enlisted in the ''Warhammer 40k Dawn of War'' category.

The graphics are overall good, you could tell Relic put alot of work into this game. Theres a rediculous amount of gore and you will most likely see the organs of a soldier splattered all over the ground after a small(or large) skirmish. The games graphics are not amazing, but relic were not expecting high end graphics only for high end PCs.
The maps are very well done, especially the urban environments; which have destroyed, war battered roads and buildings. It just overall tries to immerse you into the 40k world and its just really great that way.

The music and voice acting is really nothing special. Orchestrated epics and some meat head action hero sounding voices for each unit and races.

Overall Warhammer 40k Dawn of War is a great strategy game. I definitely recommend this game to any PC gamer out there that likes intense action, point capturing, futuristic warfare and insane amounts of gore. Its $9.99 and most likely in a bargain bin...
Pick it up Now, you will not be disappointed. And also check out the expansion packs, they only make the game better.
