Great fun with all the silliness of Wallace of Gromit - you MUST check it out!

Ohhh this game is CUTE and so much fun!! I've been a fan of Wallace and Gromit since their short films and was delighted when I heard a full length feature film was coming out. This past weekend my boyfriend and I were at EBGames and when I saw there was a GAME out I knew I had to get it! Normally I check reviews, try demos - but W&G and all the adorable critters that I saw as I flipped through the manual and I was sold!

We haven't seen the movie yet but from the trailers I've seen on TV the characters, story line and "set" are just what you see in the game. Gameplay is quite clever as you can play alone - as either Wallace or Gromit with the computer operating the other character - or play with a friend. Even cooler is you can be playing solo, friend comes along, hits Start on the second controller - and can join right in. I've found the controllers very responsive and it's very easy to move your character about.

You wander around the town and as you come upon residents you can talk to them and they will give you tasks to complete to win special cards - "Clear the bunnies from the back garden!" "I left my trowel out back.. can you bring it back to me?" "Remove those Were Rabbit posters they're scaring the townspeople!" My boyfriend and I have been having a lot of fun with the game. Laughing as Wallace shouts "The prize pumpkin!" and running over to see bunnies pulverizing the pumpkin - and shooing them into a vortex that sucks them away - or nabbing them one by one with our "Bun-vacs". The "Eep!" noise they make is quite adorable. I can't wait till me run into the Were-Badger, Were-Weasel and ooooh scary - Were-Hedgehogs!! :)
Fans of Wallace and Gromit will absolutely love this game. And those new to W&G will discover just how fun their little world is. Now if I could just find a flat for rent up the street from them...

UPDATE: we stopped playing for a few days so we could go see the movie - and we did last night. The game definitely reveals things you'll find out in the film so see it FIRST! It felt very "deja vu" for us as we saw how expertly the game depicts the town, "Tottington Hall" etc.!
