Vindictus has beautiful graphics and an interesting story line, as well as a very fun hack and slash combat style, but..

User Rating: 7 | Vindictus PC

I've been playing Vindictus for a while and it is still pretty fun, although thegame has glitches and bugs they do not generally impede one's ability to play the game and enjoy it.

Pros:

1: Awesome graphics with a good optimization. I haven't seen a game look this good but run on my crappy computer for a long time. I'm able to run it on high settings and keep 60fps.

2: Hack N Slash gameplay really spices thing's up and makes you feel much better about taking down multiple waves on enemies and even bosses, because you actually do things, versus click and sit back and eat a cake or something.

3: Although some people do not like the quest system the game holds, I find that the quest system is actually quite nice. It's easy to use and everything.

4:As far as interfaces goes, Vindictus has a good one. It makes the important things like your health or stamina stand out, and also shows the less important things, although they do not stand out. This makes it easier to watch your health and what not.

5: Very good learning curve. This game was very easy to start out, but became much harder, but not extremely quickley, this resulted in a very nicely toned learning curve.

6: The game technically is 95% soloable, this let's people choose whether or not they want to interact with others, or have a very hard single player feeling typpe challenge.

7:The cash shop makes it so that non paying players donot have a giant advanage over paying ones. In fact, there is almost no motivation to buy anything, unlike many other games. This is good because f2p players don't feel left out or frustrated, and this expands the games player base.

8: The item crafting system is also well done, I think, because most equipment is crafted, but if your missing materials, you usually have enough to buy the material. This makes the game much less frustrating.

9: The games market place is well done, I think that the way it works where everything is a set price works better then auction house.

10: I personally like the skillsystem, where you learn skills by books, and lvl up using AP from battles.

There are a few more good things, but I'll leave them out as these are the main ones. But as any game, Vindictus has flaws as well.

1: Lag. It's usually very very bad. However, you only lag if your playing multiplayer with someone else hosting. The problem is nexon needs to make dedicated servers instead of making a random computer a host. But this won't happen since nexon cannot afford it, I do not think. Not enough people buy to keep up dedicated servers.

2: Lag spikes. They get really annoying. Some people don't get this, but I do, everytime I go to the marketplace or anything like that, my fps drops to 0 for 20 seconds befor anything happens.

3: The combat can seriously get quite repetitive. Combos are very very limited.

4: Random bugs like opening options, then the options window doesn't show, and you cant move or anything. Also sometimes you click exit at a store and you don't actually leave.

5: Very limited settings, (as in time, place, environment, diferent cities etc.)

6: Only 3 playable classes right now, two more will be added. Eventually.

7: Gender locked classes are slightly annoying.

8: Pvp feels a bit limited.

there are a few other things, but these are the main cons.

But seriously, when it get's down to it, who cares about these things, people want to know if the game is fun and worth playing. And I say yes, yes it is, and I would recommend this game. even with the lag, the difficulty isn't scaled enough to make things frustrating, so it's still fun to go with 3 other people and completely destroy a dungeon in 5 minutes.
