Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble is clearly an emulation of a superior series, Super Smash Brothers, but the lush and dimensional characters make this title an excellent purchase. It's satisfying action and adrenaline-packed battles, coupled with its intense game play, reignite the possibilities with this "viewtiful" series. Every stage is freshly blanketed with colorful occupants and backgrounds. With each accomplishment arrives a new challenge along with new opportunities and characters. Cameos and puzzles abound in this refreshing advance on a, currently, lackluster series.

Considering Capcom's prized installments have been on a steady decline since its debut title, Viewtiful Joe, this is an unsung and welcome title that can be enjoyed by newcomers and veterans alike. Definitely worth a gander, folks. This is truly the start of something recognizable, yet glorious.
