I like the concepts of this game but how will it translate to actually gameplay... I'll have to wait for the review however I'm hoping I'll be good
@Henoch Hey little dude, if you still got some good brains cells left there's a new A list Xcom game coming out by Civilization developer Firaxis who say they will stick to the original concept. @XIntoTheBlue I'm sure it will be a bargain bin special soon. @FaustoJoel New Xcom by Firaxis should have all that.
Yeah, where is the base? the lab? and the UFO shot downs? also We LOVE the tactacal turn base....this is similar to xcom not X-COM....at least that´s what it looks
This seems almost similar to the resistance games. Not saying that's a bad thing; I really enjoy those games. This game could be fun. :)
@Henoch "dude it's hard to be sober when you are forced to live in Fayetteville" I don't know Fayetteville but I can bet there are bigger sh*t-holes in the world than there. The last thing world needs is more brain dead alco's. By the way UFO 2 Extraterrestrials and Xenonauts are 2 separate games. Buy the games give the brain killer poison the flick. Cheers Dude Arch
@Arch-Stanton "Best not make it a habit spend your money on some quality games instead" dude it's hard to be sober when you are forced to live in Fayetteville, NC for another 4months. Can't wait to come back to Colorado. Jagged A. I was already tracking and thanx for rest. I will check them out.
@jimmybean26 If you love the original I'l think you'l be disappointed unless you also love mindless FPS.
@Henoch "...yeah I was drinkin'..." Best not make it a habit spend your money on some quality games instead. "Honestly I just want to keep this franchise alive." Try these Xcom type games soon be released. UFO 2 Extraterrestrials Xenonauts Fray Jagged Alliance Back In Action (GNU title- Alien Invasion) freedownload.A bit buggy on my PC
@Arch-Stanton space part...yeah I was drinkin'... From what I see I agree on all your points. I just hope that if this game is popular enough with consollers, they make lil deeper sequel. I guess that would be a contradiction. Honestly I just want to keep this franchise alive.
@Henoch Don't leave as space between @ and name otherwise gamespot won't ping me. RE ? Yes Both -No Base Building. -No Base Control. -No Tanks to send into battle. -No Research (they have something called "Research points", which is just another way of saying "experience points"). -No Manufacturing. -No Random Missions. -No UFO to shoot down. -No more then two men/NPCs to command, but they can never die. @JFHansen Yes pretty dull sci/fi horror flick
@ Arch-Stanton Are you referring to base building and being sponsored by world countries based on your performance or by isometric battle view?
@Ravenhoe "I really dig the art style of the game." Yes it's got that cartoon type appearance like Borderlands. @Henoch I still think they should have tried to remake it with all the good stuff that made the original Xcom great.Just look at how popular Deus Ex HR is.
I have to say, I really dig the art style of the game. Looks like Mad Men. I hope the game has some replayability, like the original X-COM series.
Interceptions might not be a part of a game and they didn't say if base grows on it's own or we spend funds like in old x-com. However I find this reboot much more interesting for first time.
@andyslaker Your right there are plenty of mindless shooters out there. In a over crowded market of FPS games, it better have some good strategy and game play to make it popular.
