Xbox One - Invitation Trailer
Microsoft invites you to join the 'new generation' in the latest Xbox One trailer.
That was awesome, watched the Playstation 4 ad right before the XBOX ONE ad! Can't wait to own both consoles next month!
Could've been better, could've been worse, but that doesn't really matter. Most of the "core group" has already made up its mind. This is for the largely uninformed masses. Quick, lots of noise, & attention-getting.
I don't understand all the hate that's been going around. I think voice and motion controls for everything sounds cool and fun, and being able to do everything with one device just makes sense. I can't wait, I've been talking about this to people almost everyday because most people still don't know a thing about next gen yet. I even told my parents to get one because who wouldn't want voice control tv and skype anytime. It really looks quite amazing
LOL, even the ad is only 720p... Just joking, nice :) I was a PS player since the first one... but, living in brazil i'll have to go for THE ONE!!! Half of the price is a no brainer to me!
Not bad, but I still think PS4's Greatness trailers are better, especially the one with the two guys singing to each other while they duke it out.
How many they was?
I remember of only 1 and even fanboys wasnt impressed very much.
@UNCStriker88 You shouldn't get too excited about the controlling everything else right now, much of that is still unknown and probably a lot of things we expect won't be there, at least not at launch. I feel like I should say I have it pre-ordered so I'm not just hating :), unless I'm hating and stupid enough to buy one despite the hate :).
I've followed the Xbox One pretty closely, and as time passed it seemed like there would be less and less controlling your home theater stuff than I originally believed. I was hoping for universal remote like functionality, but so far it's been revealed that it won't really work that way. So far all that seems to be for sure is that you will be able to connect specific TV boxes from at least one or maybe a couple TV service providers through the HDMI input and then use the Xbox's GUI and/or Kinect to use that TV service. That's pretty much it, they even confirmed in an article that it won't be able to do basic switching of your TV's input.
To me that doesn't sound like much of a one device that does everything kind of experience. Regarding your parents, I don't know, it's $500. I think you might be getting too excited over what you believe it will do for you or other people, but in reality most stuff like this turns out to be far less useful than we think it will be. I mean TV for example, it's very quick and easy to use your existing remote, flip through the onscreen guide, etc. Maybe some people will really enjoy the Xbox One's interface because they maybe want to chat or tweet or whatever about the thing they are watching, extended services like that, kinda like what the WiiU does with TVii. However for most people I feel like after they try it for a bit, they'll just go back to watching TV the way they are now, and again remember this will not even support lot of TV providers.
@UNCStriker88 It may be a cool additional feature, but the main purpose should always be playing GAMES. That is exactly why people react.
You told your parents to buy an Xbox One, just to experience "voice control tv and skype anytime", which sounds, sorry, but absurd. They do not need a gaming console to do just that! Come on.
@everson_rm sony is giving you guys very little choice
@Tiwill44 I love it, feed me more!
@dillon-peters I was thinking the same thing. You see that perfect day commercial seems like on every channel now. I thought MS was going to bypass advertisement all together.
@Bugermeister sing along multiplayer mode on ps4?
Actually that's exactly the coolest thing about it. Anyway can just make a little box that plays games, look at all the new consoles. Just because you don't interact with people in the real world, you act the way that you do. The good thing is that there are plenty of us out there that enjoy life and all aspects of it, we don't have to confine ourselves to an imaginary world, especially the one that is so full of hate
