Dude. I was able to watch about 2 minutes of the trailer and all I could think of was the HUGE lawsuit Rockstar is gonna bring down on Ubisoft. Is this not a blatant rip-off or what? I mean I know a lot of people are excited about this game coming out, but doesn't it look like really similar to GTA(1-5)?
The "seamless" idea is cool and all, but probably won't really be my kind of thing. Does anybody know if there would be an option to disable online play? I think I'd find the idea of being hacked while enjoying the game on my own kind of frustrating...
@whythankayou Probably something similar to the Fable II system.
Wonder if there's an upgrade path for your phone *roll eyes....
Make sure you have your charger at all times! If not...end game.
@Tygravius Its powered by his self esteem. No charger needed.
I can definitely see them turning this into a one-game-a-year franchise. They are probably already working on WD2 right now, to release in 2015. How often does Ubi do a one off title?
@lostn like ASSassians creed
The driving mechanics honestly look absolutely shit. The ret of the game looks awesome! I hope they fix the driving though because that is enough to me off, and by the looks of it a lot of other people a really bothered by it too... It's a major part of the game.
@samdam3 Highly unlikely they would make any changes to game mechanics this close to the release and even afterwards. Probably minor adjustments in the form of updates post-launch.
@praneet1 Count me out then I guess... :\
@samdam3 Well, to be fair, car mechanics is probably not the core of this game anyway. It is one of the parts of a larger game. Much like the driving mechanics of a GTA game. Although, some would say GTA has better car play. I would probably agree with that. It is not the core of this game unlike a Need for Speed, F1, or one of the racing simulation games. So don't let the car mechanics drive you away (ha! a pun!). You may be missing out on other things that this game does well. To be honest, the car play in this gameplay video didn't look all that awful to me.
Looks like the vehicle handling is terrible... something from Burnout series or something...
Cause of that... I'm out honestly... but that's my choice.
Well that was... Mediocre.
The driving physics and pretty terrible, the guns don't seem to pack any punch, and this just seems like a griefer's paradise.
Multiplayer better be 100% optional.
The concept is cool but the physics just seem too weak to be a good game in 2014 ladies and gentleman.
@leigham Ladies and gentlement, I have no ideas how are the physics since I never tried the game before.
@fredyellowone well the driving is weak and the shooting is bleak
I think it'd be really cool if you could reverse the companion app missions and HELP friends escape from the police by controlling ctos. Maybe even have a set number of checkpoints like the advertised chase mode, and then split the mission pay with your friend depending on how many checkpoints you get through or how long you help them avoid the popo. Maybe that's already a feature, I just haven't seen it mentioned explicitly. Can't wait for this game!
@caliman49 You can actually do that..When they first presented the game back in 2012 at E3 they used the companion app to help the dude that was playing to escape,i dont know if they developed it afterwards but the main idea was to be able and assist your friend to get away
Didn't like the way the vehicles look like theyre going to handle and collisions were terrible something like the need for speed games. Maybe it's bcuz I'm halfway through playing GTAV for my second time that it looked so off..
@L0vnThatBuddah I think that guy jus cant drive for sh*@t
I think there's a problem with the compaion app you can only help the police chase your friends on your friends list who is going to want to help the police get there friends on there friends list caught ubisoft why don't you make it so you help the police catch random people on the game who are online with xbl or psn because if you don't change it friends will be deleting use because we keep helping the police get them watch dogs you need to change it so it's random plz not friends and plz make it so the mobile app person joins anonymous because if you don't whats stoping that male or female person who we are trying to catch from giving you bad feed back or rep on your profile just because you got them please look at it ubisoft
@whantwhant It's just a thought but, how 'bout you use some punctuation? Makes it much easier to read.
@playniko69 As in crush all the competition, yes definitely! :)
Sorry, but it just looks so average. Multiplayer looks like something you'd try once or twice and then go back to singleplayer. Like Assassin's Creed, and Far Cry, and just about every other Ubi game I can think of.
@Duke_51 Must agree...
Its crazy to think that in each of their own screens they are Aiden and the other players around them are player controlled npcs.
I hope i can just drag a buddy or 3 and do co-op stuff as well. I think we're suppose to get a random npc look, but i hope we can customize it... not that it matters if we all look like Aiden on our own screens. It would be really cool to dress and look how we want in multiplayer.
Game looks like its going to be at least worth every dollar, even if there is room for improvement. I assume the video was PS4/X1 and not PC, but he could have been using a controller for PC.
it looks kickass
better then Gta
it looks to have many different interesting game modes, and at a seventy dollar price point (l live in canada, and ya its balls for gaming these days) i want a game that has more to offer then just the single player story. I want to not beat the game in a month.
@martouf02 nope, they look like shit
Those guns sound extremely terrible. With that being said, this multiplayer seems extremely fun and I can't wait for it to be released.
@amorty007 You can tell that through a clip streamed on Gamespot to your computer's speakers? How about you wait until it's blasting through your living room's surround sound to judge?
I think i'm just gonna skip all the online features and play alone - everything in that video seemed more annoying than anything else. I just prefer to keep my single player campaign, you know, SINGLE.
