Martin asks Drew McCoy about how TitanFall actually takes advantage of Xbox One cloud compute and more.
Did you enjoy this video?
the game looks great
Yep, That's a Day 1
haha so cloud gaming = dedicated servers? Why not just say that in the first place :|
What a terrible interviewer........
Anyways, the game looks great, can't wait to play it!
@AshTrai because how they utilize the cloud can change game to game, some can choose to utilize to perform certain calculation while other can use the cloud for dedicated servers. That is one of the great things about having that cloud integration, the developer just has more to work with then just what comes in the box.
@speedyg725 Why is he terrible? I thought he was fine o_O
@speedyg725 Gamespot standard, what did you expect?
@paladin1459 @AshTrai Hmm, cloud gaming (as i understand it) is the streaming of content while u play... ie, u dont actually have the game whatsoever, u play it remotely.
Dedicated servers is not anything to do with cloud gaming at all. It's just a dedicated server o_O
Call it what it is... not hide behind random buzzwords. Bleh :P
@AshTrai @paladin1459 Except that's really not at all what it is, you still purchase discs and install to your hard drive and all that. Some parts of the game may be streamed, for example the adaptive AI they talked about in the Forza demo probably comes from the cloud servers, but the game itself does not.
