batman wins over sherlock every time. i don't care what the brits say. batman vs "anything"... the bat wins every time!
Come on Gamespot the game launches the 25th of October, the 25th of October, the 25th of October, not the 18th of October!!!!!(Check at 00:23)
Playing through Batman AA and AC again in eager anticipation for this... AA and AC are easily in my top 10 favorite games... EVER.
people you have to disable your adblock in order to play videos at GS now. Or just wait til they come to their senses and fix it themselves. these things should be repaired in time....but gs hasn't posted how long it will take. so far it's a fail taking this site live so early.
looking forward to playing a bit of the batman sherlock holmes is the best detective and my recommendation is johnny comb your beard :D
Benedict Cumberbatch, in addition to being fun to say, is also about as British as a name can be. Well, at least for a man. Camilla Luddington, the voice of Lara Croft, gets the award among the ladies.
For games to play while waiting for Arkham Origins, I'd add Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. It's a superhero game with a protagonist tortured by a tragic death in his past, is set in a big open world, features enemies from a colorful rogue's gallery, and has combat controls that should feel familiar to veterans of the Arkham series, with individual moves assigned to separate buttons and a rock-paper-scissors approach to using specific moves to counter enemy defenses.
Shattered Dimensions is a nice alternative that has Spider-Men from alternate dimensions teaming up, including a noir Spider-Man so strongly influenced by Batman's creature of the night that he might as well be called Spider-Bat.
Other Batman comics one might want to read include the
Loeb-Sale graphic novels, especially The Long Halloween. Batman is
early in his career, and Gotham is in the same period of transition from
criminal gangs running the criminal underworld to costumed freaks. The central mystery isn't as good as the fantastic artwork, but as a whole, it's pretty darn good, and was one of the influences (along with Year One) on Nolan's Batman movies.
The Waiting Game ironic show to watch today as many of the videos on new gamespot just wont play for me.
Batman uses gadgets to solve mysteries and fight crime so you could watch Inspector Gadget. (The original cartoon and not the rubbish movie)
Agatha Christie's Poirot (starring David Suchet, Hugh Frasier, Philip Jackson, and Pauline Moran) is another great detective series. Just as good as Sherlock.
Batman Arkham Origins? Why not "how to wait for the release of the PS4"?? I could care less about some new Batman game...
Did you say it was released on the 18th? I thought it was the 25th?
(edit: I see that point has already been posted. sorry for the repost. Guess you will have to do Batman next week took! ;) )
Do we really have to check out articles like these while we wait for the game?.
P.S. : I really hoped that they would not put snowfall in Arkham Origins, that would kind of make us feel we're playing an expansion pack to Arkham City.
"HELLO!!!", "JUST LIKE BATMAN!!!".... so annoying. I told myself I wasn't gonna watch any more of Johnny's stuff, and it was at that point of "JUST LIKE BATMAN!!!" that I remembered why I can't stand it.
If you are going to read year one, you should probably go ahead and check out The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. And of course there is The Killing Joke. Another good one for those not looking to get too heavily invested.
I didn't have to - probably because I know how to edit my block filters. ;)
Same here.. been fucked ever since the new gamespot..
@FROSTY_KILLA Nobody cares for PS4 ........it is shit!!!
@FROSTY_KILLA But... its Batman...
@Dark_Rage It's set during Crimbo Eve/Crimbo Day, and Gotham looks like a pretty cold city so...
@Dark_Rage i'd play an Arkham City expansion pack
@brunocj2 k see you next time.
All in my library and recommended for Batman fans. Granted, they are not origin stories, I'd also suggest "The Dark Knight Returns" and "Hush." For a fresh take on an origin story, I've heard decent reviews of the new "Court of Owls," but I have yet to read it.
@billlabowski I missed them so I'll be able to tolerate this one. said no one.
