The Order 1886 - E3 Interview with Ru Weerasuriya
Learn more about the vision behind The Order 1886 in this interview with the CEO of Ready at Dawn/Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya.
Interesting setting, at least something different from all those modern/futuristic shooters. Not much else to say since no gameplay was shown
3rd person action adventure. + some shooting. Altered history. Demons. Level of interest just got up!
I got to be honest, I think that despite the interesting setting and stylings I think it looks a bit derivative. It hardly seems like a new concept, it reminds me of Clive Barkers Undying, Nightmare Creatures and other games of that ilk. I hope to see more in the future and something new within the gameplay itself.
i really hope it is more of an adventure than a shooter but it probably isnt judged by those guns in the trailer. Atleast im sure it would be good and its great there is already a game that shows how gret an atmosphere adventure games can have in next generation. I would love to walk through Whitechapel in very realistic misty lighting solving mysterious/catch serial killers in the same vei nas La Noire etc.
To me this game is looking more interesting after Weerasuriya's little explanation about the concept of the game.
reminds me of the newer version of sherlock holmes with the setting and old, but new-to-the-times technology.
Looks like Star Wars weapons set in an ancient temple/dark woods theme. With a sprinkle of Underworld and Van Helsing sprinkled in.
This is a day 1 buy for me.
Looks awesome, like Dickens meets Dishonored with a bit of Luther Awkright thrown in
Very excited for this!
It looks and feels awesome, but I don't know if I can grasp the idea of handheld machine guns, rocket launchers and blimps in the 19th century. I'll have to wait and see.
I feel like this locale is kinda played out. Foggy old-timey London that is. But I ordered the PS4 so I hope it's great.
@rikukunut Lol there was no gameplay shown at all what suggests that this game can run on low end hardware?
@rikukunut And your judging this based off a trailer with no gameplay?
fps, tps, its all the same damn things...
@devak108 You were able to judge how the game looked without seeing the game?
@WitIsWisdom Defenitly the star wars part I even saw I weapon/gun of some sort that looked to advanced for even star wars
@Woodstock504 Maybe it comes from universe where religion didn't gain any influence.
@Woodstock504 Everything is possible in videogames, that's why we like playing them. I think it's time for you to find a different hobby if you can't grasp that concept.
@daviz88 he said third person action adventure
@IndianaPwns39 @devak108 The whole premise seems so played out, generic and boring. Demon Hunters with Majik Gunz in jolly old England tymes, cool! Yea I saw that movie once too, good times.
Pass. I'm way too excited about other games to care about this.
@devak108 Though I'm not judging so much as there are people that think it looks phenomenal without seeing any gameplay as well :P
@ahpuck Relax, he just told us what he thinks... calm down...
@devak108 I think the setting is underused. There isn't nearly enough Steam Punk out there so this might be interesting.
I want to see more of this, but I'll wait for gameplay before dismissing it or being excited over it
@Ddcooljoe :) True.
