Zelda games are always great, but I dunno...it feels like every Zelda game focuses on some particular gimmick these days. Ocarina of Time had the time traveling. Majora's Mask had masks, Wind Waker had all the water, Twilight Princess had the twilight world, Phantom Hourglass I'm not sure because I didn't get to play that one, but now Spirit Tracks has a train. I just feel like I'd like to return to when Zelda was just about Link journeying through Hyrule, being able to explore freely and find his own way through the world, rather than being led by the hand by a fairy or a spirit or a talking boat. That's what Zelda 1 and to an extent LttP were all about. Maybe they could try making Zelda a fully playable character in the Wii Zelda, with different powers that help the two characters tackle situations in different ways. It's been done in plenty of games, like Trine/Lost Vikings/Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, etc. But meh. I'm still going to try to get my hands on Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks and every other Zelda game because I love the series.

Well, Link has some pointy ears, indicating he's some sort of elf. Do elves not have a penchant for living a very long time, like forever? Anyway, it has been a while that i've been so excited about a DS game. December 7th can't come soon enough!

A small problem I see with the easy approach is the fact that Zelda got popular early on. So back when Zelda was hard as stone people who were clearly still new to it still enjoyed it. My first one was LttP and the difficulty didn't alienate me. So this new approach may be a bit extreme imo. Otherwise I'm psyced beyond belief for both approaching Zelda games.

Oooh 100 years later! I can't wait to get my hands on this game! I have a feeling that it'll be just as good, if not better than Phantom Hourglass. And holy crap Legend of Zelda Wii is going to be EPIC!

Don't you people know the drill yet? Yes, it's a 100 years later, and it's not the same Link than in phantom hourglass it's his descendant!

if aonuma is speaking japanese and the translator recorded later, why getting one with a japanese accent? to feel plausible? wait... direct sequel taken 100 years later? i'm more interested in knowing how link's still alive O_o

I'm way more excited to find out more about the Wii game than play this one.

@homegirl2180 It's a fantasy game, for all we know the average Hyrulian lifespan can be 300 years.

Making the game challenging will alienate the novices. Oh boy, thanks for dumbing it down for people who aren't even sure if they like Zelda or not.

"As far as the timeline is concerned, it's a sequel" 100 years after Phantom Hourglass? And Link's the same height? Must've taken up smoking. Also, as soon as he said "From station to station" I thought of Kraftwerk and TEE.
