got nvidias 3d vision setup and 3d screen for my pc as soon as it came out. I never use it just sits on the self. To me 3d is just a hindrance
3D looks like a religious trend these days. If some electronic equip have it, it shines so brightly even though is not THAT amazing.
Not really up for 3d..... Just get a GTX gpu and a 3D vision glasses on will get us into the game. Trust me, U'll be satisfied with the 3D vision Surround.
its worth mentioning most TV are "3D". They may not have reliefs or pop out at you, but they give the illusion of depth. 3D TV's are also illusions, but the illusion is greatly intensified by the stereoscopy. I played Batman in 3D, and didn't get a single headache. I think it just takes getting used to. When i first started if felt really, really awkward, but i got use to it fast. Through out the game i'd switch 3D with 2D , and really the 2D felt like a downgrade. I'd compare it with switching from HDTVs to SD. It sucks most games don't support it because i enjoyed the hell out of it
Samsung glasses are the most comfortable 3D glasses on the market...but there still isn't enough good 3D movies or games out there right now. Nba 2K12 and Batman AC are both in 3D and do a poor at it. It seems making a video game in 3D is like making a movie in 3D, some are good like Cars2 and some are bad(Tron)... I hope in the future they put more time in making a true 3D game that doesn't suck.
Until they get rid of the glasses 3d is a joke. The screen is unwatchable for others if they dont have the glasses (which are expensive and break easily), the glasses are not comfortable imo, and it makes many people dizzy/lightheaded looking at the 3d tv's for more than 15 minutes. The 3d out there now is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
I think the camera man has been playing on the 3DS for too long as he is all over the place. Eyes have gone a bit derp. I really want to enjoy 3D stuff whether it's games, movies etc but it just doesn't feel that good at the moment. I really hope it's refined and becomes awesome some day.
imagine a 3D TV or even movie screen that doesn't require you to wear any 3D glasses.. or remove the heavy hardware and bring out the hologram technology. oh, the future is bright for entertainment.
3D gameing right now isnt that great right now imo. most 3D games they just throw in the 3D as just something added on at the end and it playes like it. games like black ops. hiting long shots takes 5x more effort then it should and feels like your shooting cross eyed. and then you have just plain bad 3D games: crysis 2. but there are games that do look and play phinominal in 3D, only one iv played like that is gears 3, it did have its own problems though (on screen texts didnt mesh well, the tops of heads were chopped off in CS's ect). im not saying there isnt other great 3D games, but i havent played em.
I own a Panasonic active 3D t.v. I use it mainly for watching 3D movies. Looks great, but passive is truly the way to go. I tried playing COD Black Ops. I couldn't for too long. Now being here at CES. Im really impressed with the LG 4k TV with passive 3D. Im sure it will be ridiculously expensive when it comes to the market. But if you can afford it. Buy it.
the sony helmet is really cool! I would consider this in a few years. specially for games cause I watch movie with other people so... :S
92" LED TV? =O now I've seen it all =P That would need one heck of a resolution, I'm wondering what it is.
@last poster: how can 3D live , die , live again , die again? your statement doesnt make any sense lol, the fact that 3D is still here just tells that there are enough people who like it and support it that it's being mass produced and sold, you are just bashing 3D without any real reason except the "high prices" argument which isnt even true today anymore. also why do you think that people with "more money" are stupid ? usually they just can choose whatever they like/want without having to find excuses why not as you do
3D has died before and it will die again. Though they are probably making profit off it by selling these things at ridiculously high prices to people with more money than sense, and as long as they can make a profit they'll keep doing it.
what u peeps r talking about. 90% of u propably dont even own proper 3D setup like 3D Vision shutter glasess technology with 60Hz per eye.... To does of u talking about headaches, u either played on Red/Blue glasses, or console 3D which give u 30hz per eye. Honestly, I can bet, that none of u telling about gimmick or other BS about 3D never saw it at its best. I would never ever run my Batman Arkham City without my glasses on, its just epic how this looks in 3D! Every single person that comes to me with attitude od "hey, 3D is gimmic BS" and see the tru 3D ready games, they go "WoooooW".... Renember, proper 3D on PC with 60hz per eye and convergence/depth unlocked for ure own immersive experience. and for those of u telling how expensive is that, lol my: Asus VG236H 120hz = 108£ ex display model of ebay (came with all plasters on it and boxings, like brand new!), and enyway 3D gaming monitors like LG goes 230£ NEW!!! 23" FullHD!! so u overpaying like emm 30£ of normal monitor deal. And Ive bought chinese 3D Vision replicas for 40£ of ebay (which works really cloase like original!!) CMON!
@murderek yes.. okay... yea... ok but stop... seriously... boasting... boasting... BOASTING.... AAA STOP BOASTING! Dude... to much...
Soon you all will see 3D glasses free tvs... just wait .. and don't spend ridicolous money for something that is already getting old... I mean look we already have 3DS without glasses and phones :)
The only people that complain about 3DTVs are the ones that don't have them. I have three of them and they make me happy :) GT5, Killzone 3, resistance 3, MLB the show, top Spin 4, Gears 3, Black Ops, Socom 4, Mpotorstorm, NBA2k, etc... all in 3D
I still prefer my own built in 3D set up (my eyes and my brain working together to produce depth of field). It might not be perfect and when somebody points at me from the screen I don't generally go "Oooooo!" but it's certainly a whole lot cheaper and less likely to cause crippling headaches. GIMMICK!! Definition: 1. an ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, especially one designed to attract attention or increase appeal. 2. a concealed, usually devious aspect or feature of something, as a plan or deal: An offer that good must have a gimmick in it somewhere e.g. headaches!
I dont like 3D....fry your brain...and i like my brain...is almost new, but....seriously, this s...t is not good.....
Essentially we either require a gaming simulator set-up then or we'll have to wait until virtual reality becomes a reality... Either way I'm still not a fan of 3D :P
