The Elder Scrolls Online - E3 2013 Stage Demo
Chris goes in depth with The Elder Scrolls Online to show new gameplay and answer your questions!
i know for a fact i will try my best not to treat this like an MMO. i really dont care to play with other people, maybe my buddy now and then, but just the fact that it is all of Tamriel has taken a hold on my interest. If i can roam Tamriel, in a FP view, do some nice looting from time to time, and do it alone! Then ill be more then happy to pay the subscription on PS4
Such a shame, the game looks great but a monthly subscription? No thanks I'll rather never touch the game
Ok, looks like eldor scrolls now. The third person view looks terrible just like always. Really sucks cross platform play isn't supported, it's really holding these types of games back.
This is going to be the game of MMOs by the look of it and what they say. However, it is an MMO and that is why I will stay away from it and await either KOTOR III or The Elder Scrolls VI. Most likely they will never come with the MMO hype.
I wonder if the emperor can appoint a second in command, and have a ranking system for his/her "army"...
if only one player can be emperor, then most of us are sadly out of luck, because we all know there will be total elitists who play almost every hour of every day solely focusing on that.
You know what I wish for the most?
This being Free to Play, and before people start streaming in saying "BAAH F2P IS PAY TO WIN! MAKE IT PURCHASEABLE!" well think of it like this: What makes a game "Pay to Win"?
Pay to Win is when you have the best items avaiable in a game but you have to purchase it for real money, or that there are massive restrictions that you pretty much are forced to pay real money...But what if they would make it Free to Play and make the in-game real-money store only have items which are cosmetics like...Extra hairstyles, good-looking armor which can be modified in some way to suit your playstyle, things like expansion packs or something like it, but don't restrict you from a lot of things, like also normal Experience gain, no restrictions to PvP and PvE and so forth
Now if they would let's say...Make it F2P but give the restrictions to like one race each faction (Which would be rather terrible) and also make the real-money store have things like...Daedric armor sets and make magical items exclusive only to real money purchases, also limiting experience, PvP and PvE stuff..Basically limiting a lot of stuff...That would be a really terrible choice in my mind
Basically...Recently I tried out RIFT as it is F2P and the limitations are...Nearly little comparing to let's say...Star Wars the Old Republic (Where limitations were rather big), in RIFT you have more or less an unlimited amount of adventures that you can partake in, you aren't limited to one general message every minute, normal XP gain and if in a rested zone, you gain rested experience and don't get a message saying "You are in rested zone, GIVE US MONEY DAMNIT!"....Basically if they could do the RIFT way of F2P, then TESO would be a golden opportunity for Free to Play
...Unless the die-hard fans weep in the forums demanding a one-time purchase and are unable to think of the good F2P way against the bad F2P way (Good is: Cosmetics/some unlocks that you don't really need to proceed in the game for real money with no/little limitations versus bad F2P with heavy limitations and being forced to buy items for real money to be any good) so I say this: People that hate the idea of TESO being Free to Play: Instead of being zealous for a one-time purchase, be zealous for a good Free to Play option, because everyone will be happy with that
Why everyone? Well because people with a bad economy and are interested in the game will download it, try it, see if it's good and maybe they will put aside some money to pay for the microtransactions (If they like it), but if they don't like it, they won't have the "Buyer's remorse" feeling and be angry with wasting around 40 euros on something they didn't like...Think of it like that, make it better for those kind of people and don't squander the chance for Roleplayers wanting to try Roleplaying in a game like TESO, which is just begging for Roleplayers to RP in it
6.5 m/s and yu have to walk across 3km, it will take you aproximately 7.69 min.
t = s / v = 3 km / (6.5 * 3600h / 1000km) = 0.12h = 0.12 * 60 min = 7.69 min
This game is literally catering to everyone who loves Elder Scrolls games, maybe not for everyone, but if you love the World and Lore they've spent years creating, this is a dream come true. Bethesda knows their fans.
@superXShnaayin Because it has better visuals and I enjoyed watching its gameplay. I also was really impressed with its features and its potential....something I had for this game, but now it just looks like it is unprepared and the combat is choppy and not smooth as compared to the Division and Destiny.
I'll not play this game and I'll not buy any of the new-gen consoles but I'm here to show my controversial opinions because I think you guys care about it.
Game looks like it is not innovative at all and does not even need the new consoles....far more impressed with Destiny and The Division
@OurSin-360 i hope you mean cross-consoles because console ppl cannot play at the same lvl as pc... you have no keyboard to chat and no mouse to point or turn fast and precise enough. Consoles will never play at the same lvl without keyboard and mouse.
p.s. can we still be Vampires, Werewolves, and (hopefully a hybrid...) And join the DarkBrotherhood or any other faction and choose perks...either way I'll have this game forever...
Oh I forgot to add about the first part counting what they could add to the store: Extra character slots (Start off with something like..6 or something, enough to cover all the races at least), because there are people like me who are "altaholics" and will most likely spend a lot of time making extra characters, it may sound like "taking advantage of someone" but...Altaholism is someone wanting to make multiple characters, nothing wrong with that really, and if they want more characters, they can do so
@peterhughes1994 Ahem....Proper term is "Amazing", not "sick"
Sick is when you are feeling bad or something is so terrible that is "Sickening"
Amazing is when something is really good, oh and also don't try using the term "Beast" to describe "good" because "beast" is a monster or an animal (Animals are considered beasts) while good is something that you like the looks of
@Chicagomafia WTF you are talking about???
Look at the formula I use below t = s / v, which means time equals distance divided by velocity (speed), taken from physic rules.
If you don't believe it, just take the speed: 6.5 m/s right, so if you walk 60 seconds you will pass 390 meters. And if you walk 7.69 minutes you will pass exactly 3 kilometers.
And 7.69 min may seem not much, but if you think of other MMOs out there, you will see that you can walk entire zone in less then a minute.
The lockpicking system of Skyrim was a piece of a sweetroll.
This system will make it more of a challenge.
@aguaman55 Do you have down syndrome or are you just visually impaired?
@aguaman55 I shouldn't even watch the preview to know that u are not only subjective but also far from truth.
First of all, shooters are much easier. Why do you think Battlefield looks way better than an mmorpg? Secondly ‘unprepared’? I think not because they did a lot and they are still in the beta (if you know what the means...) Thirdly (don’t know if you say it like this..) Division and Destiny are shooter and so easier to make a hitbox. I need to admit the combat needs to improve but they are still in beta.
I believe this game will be good! Not Elder Scrolls good, but good for an MMORPG.
Because it looks good and fun to play. I for one are really into exploring and discovering. Also this game reminds me a bit of 3 games ‘Borderlands’ + ‘Brink’ + ‘Lost Planet’. All of those games I liked... well Brink has good features but the multiplayer was bad.
@SuperXShnaayin elders scrolls is all of that , the elder scrolls is the name of the entire series
@Dexyu Morrowind , Oblivion, Skyrim
@Trllrcoaster Destiny and The Division are totally different games. It going to be on consoles because of Capitalism, nothing else.
@Trllrcoaster This game is going to revolutionize MMO's if done right.
p.s.s. why is that we can never turn to the 9 Divines for assistance and/or do quests for them...especially when these Daedric dicks try to enslave us? Next is FALLOUT ONLINE!
@kalgert123 Sick as in I will jump up and down till I vomit because I am so excited
