I Lol'd when I heard Carter yell out "Get off my planet!" Now if only he can punch one of them out while saying "Welcome to earth."
looks fricking boss, only things i don't like is the outfit you wear because it looks like random citizen took up arms and some weird wrist brace and not some goverment trained killer with space age weapons.
also i hope they include co-op
Still not too excited about this even though I'm a fan of xcom... just don't like the time period and what the agents are wearing and there's a huge amount of things that seem to fly in the face of what xcom has always been about. Namely, the box that you can pull agents out of, which means as long as you have agents at base you can just refresh them at "checkpoints". Also the "main character" can't die or the game will reset you, so mortality is only for the guys you don't control it seems. I'm also really annoyed at how fast and "fantastic" the combat is with all the pretty colors and whatnot. Honestly it looks a lot like mass effect, but stuff makes no sense even in it's own canon. I hate it when games and movies do that... but I assume that is because this game is not for xcom fans, but TPS fans who would otherwise not play a game like xcom.
@peterhughes1994 While I do like the Men in Black outfit for its class I do agree we should get some armor options. However I would not mind keeping the hat, that hat has class all over it.
@peterhughes1994 Good point :). I realize they are going for that classic G-man style, but yeah realistically if you're a team going out on combat missions you think you'd dress specifically for that.
There also problems with things like bales of hay being used as cover in a firefight--with laser weapons. Sure, XCOM is not Arma, we should not be expecting realism, but as you point out, some of these inconsistencies can be so jarring they pull you out of the moment entirely.
@Hortey i agree with the agents in a box being silly
