The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - Call The Shots
Utlizing the game's signature Battle Focus feature, watch Carter win battles by using only squad commands - and never firing a shot.
i started bitching until like second 40, then i saw that it was a real time game were you could pause, damn it!!! I CANT STOP THE TEARS!!!
I loved that from XCOM Apocalypse now, it was the best of the series. If preorder is available ill preorder right now.
Looks like a re-skined Full Spectrum Warior. Not a bad thing; however, besides the name, I do not see anything that reminds me of the orignal X-Com. Not sure about this one.
Really? Calling the alien a dumb bastard bothers him so much, that he exists cover and starts walking in the open like a moron and into a mine?
It looks better than I thought it will, and whats most important it seems like the tactical bit isn't lost at all gameplay-wise. Pre-ordering...right...now.
oh gawwwwwd, this looks great, can't wait to play!!!
mass effect 3 with good controls! but worse story
Poor aliens with their little rifles. How can they withstand the onslaught of 1950s humans with their plasma mines, remotely deployable laser turrets, telekinetic skills and time-freezing control dials? X-com was always about an under-powered human civilization battling against all odds. This is just a fancy 'alien themed' duck shooting gallery...
wow this actually looks good ! i liked the previous Xcom game this looks even better gonna have to try it out
Eh, I thought this was going to be an action third person shooter game, it's just a boring 3rd person strategy game, yawn.
I think I would of like this game better if it wasn't in the 50s, just like the last xcom they made.
Dude, this game looks awesome! It's like a Mafia style Mass Effect. The tactical aspect looks badass.
WTF?, its like in the 60's and of course its America, and there here to save the mother fking day. It doesn't matter that their tech is so advance, America of any time period will prevail!.
Thank God no other fail country would be the centre of attention, its not tiring at all to have just about everything to do with the U.S.A
Does this game still has the Same-sex and civil-rights sub-plot, which is supposed to take up 90% of the story? It had something about a L G B T scientist saving the world.
*@*gamer.net: I commented that it sounded like XCOM was really more of a 60's period piece that happened to use aliens as a catalyst to bring out the social climate.
2K Marin: "As a narrative guy, absolutely. To both mutate and express the inner conflicts of the period."
Gray to Electric Playground: "We are definitely going to be touching on
everything that we can legally do . It’s such a specific year, it’s not
arbitrary. There will be historical cameos, a lot of historical
Also, they said there is no BaseBuilding or real research. Well, that's bites! :(
Finally something beyond another twitch FPS. This looks far more interesting than previous gameplay. Looking forward to more info, especially on AI - both enemy and friendly.
@anigmha Sigh, I guess people like you are the real reason why games are always getting more and more generic, mass effect originally wasn't focused on the combat anyway, sadly, they decided to lean towards the Gears of War, Call of Duty crowd instead...
@XxWarLordxX502 enemy unknown was a great game!
@picho86 I don't see people like you complaining when taunt is in all of the mmos/rpgs, turn based games and even some shooters. get over it hahaha.
@picho86 Yeah you dumb bastard what would you do?
@picho86 lol what should you do if someone called you a dumb bastard? lol
@lSpazmonicl mixed reviews? There are no reviews yet. The game hasn't even gone gold yet.
@Igal-Ze yeah .. but wait till the aliens pull out their Anal Probes ;-)
@devastator1991 You have to add an emoticon when you're being sarcastic :P
@devastator1991 Sorry it doesn't live up to your generic run-of-the-mill expectations
@Errorcutive Memories... Epic LAN Tango hunting, good times
@Errorcutive The only game coming anytime soon that might bring us back to the old days of Rainbox Six is Takedown.
@Master_Vexov Haha I really hope this comment is dripping with sarcasm :P
@Master_Vexov Fuck dum-ass.. !!! you sound like Cap America ...on steroids
@Master_Vexov Team America... Fuck Yeah! Lol.. what do you expect? It's the US of A... :)
@Master_Vexov If you know xcom you know its world wide I doubt this one is going to take place in the USA.
@Master_Vexov Your extreme jealousy could not be more obvious. :-)
@Bhemont @anigmha As someone that played Mass Effect from launch day of the original release on 360 I can say that I agree with anigmha. This looks like the direction Mass Effects combat gameplay SHOULD HAVE gone. It did go moreso towards Gears of War style gameplay in 2 and especially in 3.
And Mass Effect not focused on the combat? There was A LOT of combat in the original Mass Effect. I'd say it was 50% combat, 40% talking, 10% Simon Says. And I've beaten the original three times. The second one twice. And the third one once. That should tell you what I think of the way the combat went. And I'm excited for this game.
Wow, that's pretty presumptuous and ignorant. And I don't even play Call of Duty or Gears of War. If I'm playing an FPS, it would be a good one like Tribes. But I digress, The Bureau is an evolution from the combat in Mass Effect 1 which we haven't seen much of, not Mass Effect 2 or 3, definitely not from CoD or GoW so I have no idea where you got the notion of "leaning towards the Gears of War, Call of Duty crowd".
P.S.Condescension only works if you're logical, and you are not.
Seeing the recent Patriots gameplay trailer made me lose faith in ever seeing a return to classic Rainbow. Takedown is our last hope.
