Super Smash Bros. Brawl ProjectM 3.0 - Now Playing
Peter Brown and the GameSpot staff install the latest Project M mod for SSB, and beat the crap out of each other for your amusement.

Well, this is a good distraction while waiting for the next Super Smash Bros on the Wii U. If this is Pop Asia, that would be the same thing.
Until now, I still have trouble believing that a character as (relatively) severe-looking as Metaknight could get into the Kirby IP.
This panel is not very knowledgeable about Smash Bros haha.
"Sonic was in Brawl?"
Referring to Samus as a guy.
"What is that glowing thing floating around?"
Exactly, the YouTube thing in particular shows that they are not willing to get with the times. As of late, they started claiming videos again and if they want to they can just shut down project m. No one wants that (unless they hate fun) but the future is uncertain.
thats what people said about fan games. nintendo CnD'd those into the ground. Then there were the youtube videos, shut down on copyright claims. What project M is doing is not illegal in itsself but rather the distribution of it could be shut down should nintendo choose to. Of course none of us wants that to happen, but Nintendo has been . . . particular lately.
I meant to add that I know they don't like there IPs and assets being used for a modification to there game, even if there is no hack/mod/workaround involved in playing. It's concerning.
No I know it's not illegal. I play it my self and I love how it runs off SD. It's just the fact that Nintendo can turn at any second and just stop all of it. Clearly Nintendo already knows and have for awhile, it's just the fact that they can stop it if they wanted to for no reason.
Our eyes, the moders have done nothing illegal, thus Nintendo has no basis to take legal action. You don't need to pirate anything, or mod your Wii to make Project M work. While I understand the concern, I don't think it applies here.
Nintendo isn't stupid. I'm sure they are well aware of this. I'm willing to bet even Sakurai has tried it at least once.
There are gamecube controller adapters for the Wii U btw (not sold by Nintendo). So you can play the new Smash Bros with a gamecube controller, provided you buy the adapter
Thanks Wyldone, but I'm already playing it. Don't really wanna watch someone play when I have it right next to me. I also don't want these big sites throwing a mod up here. Nintendo can go bad tommorow and shutdown the whole project. So all these gamespots, IGNs, kotakus, are hurting us. If Nintendo shut down the mod, it would be these sites fault.
Aw I looked up Project M and it is only available for NTSC format Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
I hope they make a PAL format mod one day.
@bendall01 It felt exactly like the Shiek from Melee. Moveset was identical and the timing for juggling was spot on too. Only thing I wasn't able to do was toy around with the needles to test their power and range.
@bendall01 Yup, while you can pick Sheik as a separate character, Princess Zelda can still transform into Sheik.
It would be quite overbearing to expect anyone that plays Brawl to be a Brawl history buff. ;)
