looks really good, kind of like a mark of ninja play with more action...... or probably original strider play lol I don't know I never really knew what he was from.
And i was expecting Onimusha or Dino Crisis ... or even a Remake for RE2 !!
Unfortunately it becomes this .... Capcom you never changed ಠ_ಠ
Tecmo, this is how the Ninja Gaiden game suppose to be. Return to the root of orignal genre.
Meh typical shit with glossy cartoony graphics. If this shit is called "next gen game" i will be disappointed
Only Capcom would outsource one of their most beloved IPs to some subpar studio. This comes off like a cheap, poorly made Live arcade game.
Looks good. Reminds me of Viewtiful Joe which was one of my favorite Gamecube games. Hopefully Double Helix does a good job.
This looks like a lot of fun. It's been far too many years since I last played the old Strider. I'll be keeping an eye on this one for sure.
I am concerned about the developer though. Double Helix have delivered an ungodly amount of disappointment in the past. Z-Grade studio at best. I'm giving them benefit of the doubt... for now.
Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing.
Still, nice to see them actually make use of the Strider IP outside of Versus Fighters.
I wish that would be what some of the definitive games of the next gen would look like. Glossy bright Cartoony aesthetics that is.
@Simplythebest12 It's also going to be on current gen consoles, and remember, the game DOES have a cartoony style, so what did you expect? If you want realism to the point that you can't even tell the difference between a game and reality you should stick with movies, because hopefully there will always be games that use a different art style instead of trying to be realistic for no good reason
That makes it bad? There are some beautiful live arcade games.
@Slade968 What I see does not even come close to Viewtiful Joe.
@RavenXavier Agreed, I remember picking up my NES copy from a garage sale when I was a child. Looking forward to this!
@pcty is it the final product? NO! Then save that sort of comments for when it's out...GOD
@DrAmazinDood @Simplythebest12 Agree 100%, why is that some people want ultra high defintion life like graphics? When that becomes the case, then its not really a video game, and won't be fun in my opinion. I think that the graphics engine should be used for more intricate detail in physics, gameplay, etc. Although I think that having life like graphics isn't that important, I think that some games should push the boundaries, as long as it doesn't compromise gameplay, and innovation.
@DrAmazinDood @pcty They released the trailers to shows their product we are free to judge the game by the information that the developers provide us. You have already showed your opinion replying to a thousand of users try to accept different opinions.
@DrAmazinDood I give up talking to you. I already told that my comment was about the horrible graphics not about the game overral quality or fun if you can't understand something simple as that then there is nothing I can do.
I agree but it looks as if we are almost over the "cinematic experience" hump and games are starting to be games again.
you'll see, we can't go much further. heck the cgi wank shows they have been showing us trying to flaunt what the next gen can do still don't look all that different from what we see now. the textures look slightly better and they seem to at least in those tech demos have worked out the hair physics but again you have to really REALLY look to see any difference.
It's time more people remembered art style instead of chasing after uncanny valley.
@Deadly_Nemesis@DrAmazinDood I'm not saying he need to grow up, I still respect his opinion, If the style doesn't appeal to him I'm fine with that, there is just no reason to call it bad, besides I like to have arguments to back me up.
Also it's true you can't see the difference between next gen and
the end of this gen. The start of any gen is always going to be rather weak compared to the end of the gen, because developers are still trying to see just how much the hardware can handle, that has been true since the beginning of console gaming
You know you would save yourself a lot of energy if you just said "graphics don't equal good games grow up"
it's pointless writing long paragraphs trying preaching about it.
Also that point you are talking about I am pretty sure we already hit that. I mean who can really see the difference between next gen and the end of this gen.
@pcty @Xristophoros But what if you can truly have fun with this game without caring about the graphics? Surely you've played games before the PS3 or the 360 and they had lower graphics, but you must have enjoyed them. What I'm trying to say is ppl need to stop judging a book by it's cover, besides the graphics can only improve so much and at some point they will reach a point where they can't get any better.
If I were you I'd wait to give it a try because graphics don't equal gameplay like so many ppl think they do, I'm not saying you have to buy it, but if you have the chance at least try it and look past the graphics, because they're not everything, the same goes to any game you think has "bad" graphics, not just this one, who knows you may even find a game you've been missing out on
I never said that the game looks bad because it is a "side scroller" and I never said that the is going to be better all I said is that the game's graphics are on the same level as a tablet game.
Also, indie games may not have millions polygons but they manage to be visually appealling because they often feature different art style which is definetely not the case in this game.
@ahpuck No, I don`t judge the by it`s graphics I judge the graphics by the
graphics in the trailer. Read my first comment there is no metion about
the game quality just about the graphics qualitty.
You are obviously taking it personal and straying from the topic. Look at my first comment I never said that the game is going to be crap or bad, my comment was focused on the graphics that are almost on the same level as tablet games.
@DrAmazinDood @pctyBeing a side scroller doesn't make it a "bad" looking game by any means... not all games need to be fully 3d, and to be honest, the art style works in favor for this type of game. I wouldn't be so dismissive just because it doesn't have millions of polygons on screen. You're gonna miss out on a lot of great games (indie and smaller budget titles) if you never give them a chance.
@pcty I do accept your opinion, but your judging something that is not even complete, how is taht fair?
