offer them for free and STFU. I hope people continue to hack the Hell out of this game. Put on your pirate hats and eye patches too. Capcom are getting their due for all of the crap they have done over the years. Way back on the SNES they had super edition, turbo edition and all that crap and still doing it now. Only now you have to PAY instead of PLAY for costumes and unlocking hidden characters too?! I hope they go cry in the corner. No one cares if you are disappointed Capcom. We have been disappointed for years. This is the payback.
it's always fun just to play these kind of fighting games cause they are some of the the coolest ones yet.
what's with all that greed man. DLC is supposed to add something new not to unlock something that is already there. What a shame tomoaki ayano what a shame!!!.
awww he's disappointed is he? I'm sure the gamers and fans are equally or even more disappointed with the one disc DLC
Wow...... Only capcom goes to the extremes with these type of situations. They got what was coming for them.. Big time
Its just the same thing yet again! The "DLC" content was obviously created during the game development time because it was ready in time to be added to the disk when it was created. Yet they still charge more for it like its an additional piece of work by them? How greedy can these companies get?
Remember those days when you played the game in order to get the rest of the game's contents? .........Me neither.
I hope he feels guilty of all the lies he told because if he is not he better leave the game industry.
I loved how he avoided the question of his reaction to the complaints to on disk dlc. I hope this ruins him!
How about everybody in the gaming community being "disappointed" with you trying to screw more money out of us?
'I was really disappointed that it created this environment where some players were able to play with the characters, and some weren't' Wow, that's disingenuous. I mean, the fact that they intentionally withheld the content behind a digital lock in order to sell it to players later was going to create this fragmentation anyway - not everyone's going to pay for them, especially after they realize how the content was packaged. Seriously, if Capcom was at all interested in 'creating an environment' where all players had access to all characters, why did they withhold content on the original disc? Blaming the fragmentation of the game on a few hackers doesn't change the fact that it was Capcom that fragmented the game to begin with. 'PR' like this just makes them look even more douchy.
Love the complete dodge on the DLC question. Smoothly directed to Hackers rather then the opinion of how they will deliver the 'DLC'
I deal with these "$60 for half a game" issues the best way possible: I don't buy them. I wait for early adoptors to discover, and inform the rest of us, whether it's worth a damn. Usually, it's not. I wait for an "Ultimate" version or a "Director's Cut", which are often cheaper than the initial release.
I'm just waiting for a game developer to say "We screwed up. We saved money on the coding and we got hacked because our money wasn't well spent." I think it would go a long way rather than alienating your player base.
its a shame when people do this........ that said its more of a shame when capcom locks on disc content. if its on the disc and ready by gold it should be part of the game allready.... dlc is justified only when its content made after release that takes more time and effort.
Its on the disc, I already paid for it. Might not be a huge difference from first day download content, but it is an important one to me. They could at least try to pretend they aren't purposely bending us over for every penny. Geez.
"I'm so disappointed that customers are not a bunch of morons who gladly pay twice a game they already paid FULL PRICE to unlock the content we BUTCHERED from the final build to MILK more money". Capcom, I'm disappointed you think we are that stupid.
They have some nerve. They are ripping people off and get angry when people unlock the full game they should have originally got.
Well if you want all players to enjoy the 12 characters then maybe you shouldn't be charging $20 for them. And if he's surprised that they got hacked then the man obviously doesn't know much about the gaming community.
I really can't support on-disc DLC. I can understand some assets being there, and I'm fine with them working on it when they're publishing the game. But 12 whole characters, already fully coded? It's ridiculous.
they wouldn't be able to hack it if it weren't locked in the disc, but they should've let us have the content unlocked and ready for us to play anyways, they're thinking people are capable of hacking through, and that challenge is sparking a fire between the consumers and Capcom...
