assassin's creed brotherhood was my favourite soundtrack; and the enslaved soundtrack was very boring..
It's such a shame to think that the best part of Final Fantasy XIII was the music. It's so emotional, ghostly, and surreal it deserves a much better game to accompany.
What? No Dark Void? Bear McCreary composed the music for that game. You may recognize him from "Battlestar Galactica", "Caprica", "Human Target", "Eureka", etc... Search youtube for "Dark Void music", you'll thank me later.
A suggestion: I think you guys should also list the names of the composers who worked on these games. After all, without them the music wouldn't have been created in the first place. Petri Alanko for example, who worked on the soundtrack of Alan Wake, did a great job but still hasn't got much recognition yet. I think it would be a good idea to help composers like him be acknowledged more.
Got a couple of pieces from this that I liked - "Master Assassin" and "A Dedication to Everyone". Thanks! The Alan Wake piece and "Twilight over Thanalan" are nice too.
I just finished playing Darksiders a few weeks ago and I couldn't even remember what any of the music was like. After going to your link... it's good music, but not the kind of music that invokes emotion or gets stuck in your head.
Wow...No Darksiders Main Theme?? that song rules! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo4InDK6q0M just for the record in case someone doesn't know it;))
I remember one of my favorites on Genesis. STREETS OF RAGE. The music was awesome. One of the first games ever to have Electro House music. Ahead of it's time way back then.
I think Im going to give this a try. I haven't liked a FF games since #7 but who knows. The linear aspect doesn't bother me to much. When I enjoy an RPG I like to rush through it anyways cause I want to see the story. I always save side missions and things like that for my second run to add some variety. Seems like most people either love it or hate it.
Mass effect 2's sound track... where did it come from lol . I played the game twice and have never listend to it :o.
Wait a second, wheres the epic pokemon soundtracks? I remember hearing those with my gameboy off. So amazing I heard them for like 24 hours straight.
Gotta agree with XxppxX3, I could definitely fall asleep watching this. and gotta love the silent hill soundtracks
Halo Reach and the Mass Effect games deserve the recognition they got. I'm also VERY pleased that someone else noticed the beauty of the Alan Wake soundtrack. Soooooo good :D
The mass effect series have stunning and intense music, people who have played the games know what I'm talking about.
Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption and Assassins Creed Brotherhood where obvious choices but this list leaves out any of the God Of War 3 songs which were superb. I'd also like to of seen the Der Reise Nazi Zombies song from Black Ops because it's a good powerful metal song. Don't know why Batonetta and Super Meat Boy's up here because there songs aren't that great.
Birth by sleep had a great soundtrack too, I think they should've mentioned it. And it's nice to see Deadmau5 on the list =D.
