Sniper Elite III - Now Playing
We take a longer look at the new Sniper Elite III, and see how many random body parts we can realistically shoot off. Join us, and call out where you want to see them get shot!

Looks awesome. I loved Sniper Elite v2 so here take my wallet Rebellion Software. But I do have two really important questions:
One, why aren't my game nights with friends this funny?
And two, Chris, when can we expect a new episode of The Gun Show? Answers I'm willing to accept are limited to soon, tomorrow and now. ;)
Maybe it's just me, but I really detest tagging mechanics in stealth games, completely defeats the purpose of being stealthy if you just know where everyone is all the time.
can you change the camera angle to zoom out a little? the current one and the running style reminds me of gears
Not to be a jerk, but...
Guys, Karl is OSS (the CIA didn't exist formally until 1947)... He's not part of the British "Desert Rats"... just seemingly attached to them for this mission set
Sorry... I know, I'm "that guy"
I was so disappointed by CI's ENEMY FRONT... please SNIPER ELITE 3 be good!
Hmmmm... so the weapon wheel pauses the action? That's different than V2...
I wish the x-ray killcam could be turned off... it's unneeded and not an authentic sniping experience.
Side note: I think it's funny how headshots are prized in these games. Again, not authentic sniping -- center mass folks
I'm hoping this game turns out good. This is the only game coming out anytime soon that has my interest.
The early reviews on Metacrtic aren't too bad. I'll probably turn off the kill cam but the tactical elements and open environments look really good.
The early reviews on Metacritic aren't too bad. I've never played this series before and I'll probably turn off the kill cam but the tactical elements and open environments look really good from what I've seen so far.
@lomar07 Then go back to watching the awful, anti-humor garbage that is Family Guy.
@rew0lf no, ended.
@battlefront1943 IGN gave it an 8.2 . The reviews are fairly sold as long as you like stealth shooters / sniping. Generally speaking, if V2 was your thing, than 3 is just what you're lookin for
@battlefront1943 That's about what I expected. Fun but flawed.
It (tagging) was certainly added to many games to aid people who have no patience, but to reward tagging with trophies is ridiculous. Making a situation easier through artificial means deserves a trophy? Another element that I'd love to turn off.
@battlefront1943 doesnt look like it.
@TomSwift0622 If I remember correctly, in SE1 enemies will usually fall and call out for aid from an arm shot (although it might sometimes kill). In SEV2, most arm shots will put an enemy down, but they might get back up, call for aid (they can be healed), or fire at you with a handgun.
@TomSwift0622 On console I don't think you can turn off x-ray killcam. Don't know on PC.
@TomSwift0622 Play SE1... V2 looks nice but it's a mess.
@chris120379 I think it'll be good. They've taken the best of 1 & 2, and they've added some new mechanics(That frankly, I can't believe weren't there before). I mean come on, they're only just now added the relocate feature? It was annoying in the 1st 2 games where you were detected as soon as you fired a shot (without masking it with an environment sound)
@chris120379 Sniper Elite V2 was a great little game.
@themc_7 @battlefront1943 @shadowkiller11 @chris120379 Yeah... invisible bullet-killing walls all over the place (the library level is terrible with this), Karl sometimes without input decides to stand from prone on his own (not good in a stealth shooter), respawns of cleared enemy areas triggered by forward movement often emerge from thin air (last level is a joke with this), and stealth kills are sometimes trigger events for enemy alerts (V2 level)... this negates the very reason for stealth.
SNIPER ELITE was a great game... SNIPER ELITE V2 isn't. It's far better than the SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR series, but that's not saying much. So wanted V2 to be good...
I hope 3 is good, but I don't have a lot of hope -- they seem more obsessed with X-ray killcams than genuinely good gameplay. *fingers crossed*
Currently playing SPLINTER CELL BLACKLIST and hoping Rebellion has been paying attention to good stealth games. I really want a great WWII sniper game!!!
