Ah Dead Rising... Back in early 2007 this was the reason I bought an XBOX 360... I was captivated by the idea of Zombie survival in a sprawling mall. With 72 hours until rescue, where everything could be picked up and used as a weapon or barricade and I could even hide away in a storeroom while the dead shambled about outside if I wanted... Next gen freedom.
It excited me for a future of GTA-inspired open Worlds where anything could be the theme. Not just crime. In this case it was Zombies. My favourite survival/horror theme. And Dead Rising was the beginning of such a future in my eyes.
But 8 years later look what has happened to it... Such a shame. Such a waste.
Zero innovation, Zero scope, Zero ambition. Same game each time.
No Open World, just one big level. And OTT stupidity has become the theme rather than serious survival.
Thank the great gaming spirit for State of Decay...
A Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha, what on god's green earth does that even mean? I know it's Capcom, and they love to do this with Street Fighter, but come on. That is just beyond ridiculous.
SUPER ULTRA MAGNIFICENT MOST AMAZING BEST DEAD RISING 3 ARCADE REMIX HYPER MESMERIZING BREATHTAKING UBER AND UNBEATABLE EX PLUS ALPHA BETA GAMA TO OMEGA
would have been a better title in my opinion
I thought Capcom had completely forgotten about Power Stone! For the love of god re-release Power Stone 1&2 on XBLA, PSN and Wii U! The PSP version was good but half the fun was being able to play multiplayer on the sofa with your mates!
Disappointed this is what it turned out to be.
I'm also disappointed that they do not have rag doll zombies or free aim melee, everything is just animated :/
@tightwad34 no, really?
@eze_sl89 but beyond ridiculous.
@NewShire If only you had joined this site a year earlier. They were long time staff members before starting Giant Bomb.
@Sevenizz Wrong. Capcom panders to western sensibilities, not the east.
@howiex89 You don't think that's about 4 adjectives too many?
@Sevenizz Japan will not come to Microsoft. The only games Capcom has made as of late that the Japanese like are Monster Hunter and Street Fighter at best. The west are who Capcom generally focuses on, not the east. Japan has issues with Microsoft because they are a western brand basically mimicking what Sony does. If they have a better home product, why should they invest in the outsider, savy?
