Whoever was playing this should be ashamed to call themselves a first-person shooter. I am not talking about the fact that your aim was terrible because you didn't have a mouse, although even for somebody that is not used to playing with controllers you are atrocious - acquire the target, THEN shoot! I am talking about the fact that you seem unable to figure out what the fuck is going on. Games were made and developed by people over countless hours and well-thought out ahead of time to ensure that maximum fun is had by the player. Instead of you realizing this fact, you wasted my time and everyone's time here that wanted to see a well-played campaign by ignoring the obvious signs of how to play this game according to the rules that are blatantly set out for you. Also, try making less excuses for your game-play and own up to your mistakes. Maybe then you will start to become more thoughtful in how you play.
been playing for an hour took a break and noticed that environments are very limited in the destruction its boring plus after the building in somalia with the snipers in it gets blown up all the smoke and dust caused the frame rate to drop sooooo low haha not very impressed so far
Playing the game and it is awesome. I thought the game is gonna be wasting my time due to bad reviews. BUT I was wrong, I am now enjoying the game.
This game relies on pretty visuals to sell it. Straight off I can tell you that yes it is an incredible looking game. Frostbite 2 is great looking but other than that there's nothing noteworthy about the game. It's rather dull in fact
I want this game to be good, but I cannot help but fell that if EA have not sent out review copies they have something to hide, or they just want to day one patch to be including in the reviews.
@triangle129 Wow you must be the life of a party eh?
@seanmcloughlin Have you played it? Everyone I've spoke to is pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out, myself included. The campaign has a much more mature feel than COD while still providing great action, and the MP is well paced and balanced.
So what's wrong with it? What makes it dull? If you've played it that is...
@KENNYKENNEDY I think the game needed that patch, so I guess I can understand... The MP was buggy at first, but now it's stable and feels great. I recommend this to anyone who is tired of the same ol COD formula. It has a fresh feel with the fire team system, also the guns feel great to shoot, not to mention the solid visuals.
@Gelugon_baat You are truly THE KNIGHT OF THE LIGHT!!!!
@M3o5nster The MP is fine but it's nothing new, and it has so many limitations. It doesn't let you go anywhere or do anything and feels very boxed in. For a frostbite 2 game it has some painfully static environments. Bullets penetrate nothing and there are no destructible parts in the levels either. The campaign is fine, it is a looker and more mature. It's definitely better than BF3s campaign, but it's dreadfully short and a bit samey all the way through. It's a very by the books run of the mill military shooter. Not horrendous but nothing new either.
@Gelugon_baat Alright, I will not.
@seanmcloughlin The buddy system is pretty nice, even though it's not technically "new", since I know Uncharted 3 has a buddy system. For military shooters, there's not much room to go other than new locations and better graphics. Modern shooters especially, since they can only use actual guns and Earth locations. I know people keep saying they want something new, but what can a dev possibly add? A lot of people like military shooters, myself included, so really what can be done?
If the game controls well, is fun to play, looks nice, and feels fresh (COD doesn't anymore to me), then what more can we really ask for? My only main gripe at this point are the VOIP problems... A short campaign is to be expected, even though 6 hours is longer than COD campaigns, it's just the part of the game less people focus on. I actually enjoyed this campaign quite a bit...
I'm more of a BF player, even though BF3 was disappointing compared to BFBC2 IMO... However, I think MOH really found a nice blend of team strategy and fast paced action.
