Neverwinter Control Wizard Trailer
Learn more about how the Wizard uses their elemental skills to control the battlefield.
What the hell is this?! That doesn't look like D&D! Spellcasters don't memorize spells anymore? I'm not getting this if it's just another lame WoW clone.
I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons for 25+ years, and I hate D&D 4th Edition! 3.5 was the best...
Daily power? LOL the game is not even in beta and I'm already disappointed.
How cool is that the best looking spell you have, you can use it only ONCE A DAY laksjdlakfj What if the developers can use theyr nice looking cars only once a day lol
they should try that to see how cool it is (f***** i***ts)
It reminds me of Kingdom of Amalur, but looks abit darker and a much better camera. I hope it's good.
I'm not a hardcore D&D stype fan, but i do prefer the old school style D&D game architecture like from Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights. This sadly looks a little more like a action style mmorpg late to the mmo scene. But i'll wait until it comes out before making a full judgement about it.
I played it at Gen Con this year. It was a fun action fantasy game. It also looked a lot better in person than it does here. Is it going to be the best game out, doubtful, but will seemingly be solid.
@Cirkelinespark Neverwinter was taken over by Perfect World Entertainment a Chinese MMO company. Please be careful when making purchases with this company. They are known to conduct consumer fraud and use sponsored players to cheat customers. The company has an (F) for a BBB rating which is actually a sign of danger. BUYER BEWARE!! Go see Facebook Page "Neverwinter Alert" for further details.
@Abanaa You know the system is based off of DnD, right? In DnD, you have 3 types of powers: At-Will (use whenever), Encounter (once per battle), and Daily (once per in-game day). It makes you consider your actions and stops you from spamming your most powerful move.
If that's too much for you, then perhaps this game isn't for you.
@helix090 It actually based of the newest edition of D&D.
@AfterFX13 Nooo not PWE!! That company will turn anything into garbage, and I honestly didn't see they were in on it until you mentioned it. Thanks for the headsup.
I never played DnD. I think that game is verry old if i'm not mistaken. Old type of gameplay with new grafics still feels old....
yeah i think i'll pass on this one. it's not like there's only 2,3 mmorpg out there. i wonder how will this game compete with them.
@Thunderstarter @Abanaa I think the real issue is once per day meaning actual real life days. Only being able to use an ability one time per actual day of real time is absurd, even to someone who's a fan of old school games. Even in the original Neverwinter, your spells that you could cast per day were recharged upon resting, so essentially you could cast them as many times a day as you wanted but you just had to rest.
@Cirkelinespark PWE = Fraud
PWE = Sponsored Players in their games.
A Chinese MMO company using TWO trusted US brands to enact their fraudulent scams against unsuspecting US consumers. Thats what I got out of reading the Facebook Page "Neverwinter Alert".
@Cirkelinespark No problem. Here is really the problem with it all. They dont think there is anything wrong with using "Sponsored" players to cheat US consumers. In fact they will probably justify it as, we were just trying to give poor families a job. What a bunch of crap.. ITS ALL GREED AND ALL FOR THEMSELVES. Sorry kind of upset everytime I think about what they are doing to my fellow Americans, especially their children. Whats even worse? If the games have a bug that screws customers out of money, its allowed to persist for months if not forever. IF the bug unfairly "GIVES" players anything for free, the servers are shut down until the problem is fixed. Thats PERFECT WORLD for you.
AND Don't Reply anymore cause i wont bother to read this again.
I stated my opinion and you dont have to agree with it, but i would like you to respect it.
You dont see me replying to others ppl post just to show how cool i think i am.
I like the way you're thinking. spells recharged after resting seams more resonabile. I could enjoy that "thing" more than once a day.
