@tooki Ok I see what you mean coming from the past games myself... well Tricky and 3 the course are drastically different. Between the obvious jump you have to use the terrain to make up other jumps. I think the rewind adds a lvl of skill not previously needed. If you want to get a really high score then you shouldn't mess up enough to have to rewind. Resetting wouldn't work because it would be too easy. Also it will always reset you to the middle of the course. Say you hit a big jump on the side but missed aimed it and pit-fall. Resting will drop your momentum and you probably won't hit that jump. Also if you rewind you can go back into Tricky. Boosting took some getting used to but it's meant to use when your slipping off the course on an ice turn or on straight away. Knowing when to boots is critical in Races like keeping your combo till the end will get you a massive score different than if you drop it in Trick It events. I think if you spend more time with it, it should grow on you. I'm definitively looking forward to this DLC too!
@FusionRain I just don't think they're as unique or well designed as the ones in Tricky and 3. I also hate the fact that they took the reset ability out in favor of rewind. That's a real killer because more often than not using the rewind will set you so far behind that you have to restart the race anyway (which wasn't the case with resets). As far as the controls are concerned, I find it virtually impossible to control my character at all when I use boost. AT ALL. There should be some way to adjust it or it should at least be lower than it is now.
@tooki What do you think is wrong with the courses? Also what is wrong with turning. Is it too high or what? I though it was a bit touchy at first but I got used to it. The only problem I seem to have is that I can't always get of rails when I want.
@FusionRain I'll have to give it another try, but I was referring to things like course design as well--and turn sensitivity.
@tooki What problems are you experiencing because I don't know what much is wrong. Allot was fixed in the most recent patch including better grinds and flips. The Classic Controls was fixed too.
Sadly the problems with this game are more pervasive than will ever likely be fixed with patches or DLC. It's not that it's bad, but compared to Tricky and 3 it just doesn't hold up.
