@ InFamous_626 ROFL.. My 'game' computer costs more than 2 PS3 & 2 Xbox 360's and has more 'power' than all of them 4 combined. gtfo, PC gaming > all btw im poor tooooooo.
Why retrograde to a console when the pc version of fps games often work much better than the console versions. The problem here is that, at least for now, the BF series is being run under the old console programmers and they are either too lazy or incapable of recreating a proper pc user interface that even any call of duty game has straight out of the box. What is worrying is the fact that it appears these same console programmers are working on the new MOH. All I am asking DICE to do is to get them to give pc gamers a proper/standard user interface and not let them off the hook by allowing them to try to impose console/gamepad controls on pc gamers. The pc versions of MOH and BFBC2 deserve better than a sloppy, lazy port to pc.
PC gamers use keyboard and mouse for FPS games. Forcing a console/gamepad interface setup on an FPS PC game is one of the dumbest things a game designing company could ever do. This why I am worried for Medal of Honor. If they allow the same snafu as in BFBC2, there are going to be quite a few unhappy pc gamers. Please DICE, don't mess MOH up too. Thanks.
@InFamous_626 Not a diehard fan of MW2. I have been a diehard fan of the BF series until DICE's BFBC2 messed up PC iteration. We play these games on PC, not on gamepaddy-consoles, consequently we need proper PC key binds. When you see console/gamepad setups rubberstamped on to the PC version of the game, it becomes immediately obvious that somebody at DICE got lazy and that their QA department let the flawed product ship. Why on earth would you take away a true "crouch" toggle key bind that has always existed in the BF series? The only explanation is that the people who worked on this project were console/gamepad BC programmers and simply did a lazy port of the console/gamepad version to the PC version without taking into account years of success for the BF series with appropriate and comfortable key binds. Why would anyone in his right mind change a key bind that makes the character "crouch" when hit, and then "uncrouch" when hit again - the "C" key - to a hold down LEFTCONTROL key bind that will only have the character "crouch" as long as we hold the key down, if not, he goes right back to a standing position? That has got to be one of the most insane design decisions I have ever seen.
at 3:03 does one of the pilots say "sh*t i got tagged"? do the taliban have tracer dart guns. and then at 4:02 does the other helo get hit by an rpg, there is an explosion on it. surely that would do some serious damage. and yes i know its a game but come on
@Venom341 that would be awesome, i hope some kind of demo is released soon. but i if they do it should contain some single player and not just multiplayer like the BC2 demo. that demo was great but i felt it needed some kind of singleplayer element. the graphics on this look pretty sweet, i cant wait for the release day
@InFamous_626 My opinion is my opinion, you do not have to view my opinion as negative, my opinion is just that, the two ships are on S&D, that means that both ship, are to inflict the max possible damage, be for returning to base to refuel and rearm period. Having one ship not capable of completing it role, could mean that somebody(s) may not be returning from their ground mission.
this looks awesome and thee graphics look amazing. Black Ops tried 2 steal the idea of the helicopter
@duderdave If your're complaining so much then dony buy it. we could obviously see you are a MW2 fanboy and just looking for reasons to bag on BF:BC2 which smokes MW2 in so many ways. so if you're having problems with your PC or just hate the layout then get a console, or are you to poor?
If they don't bind "crouch" to the "C" key for the PC version, it will not do nearly as well as MW2. Lazy console/gamepad programming ruined part of BFBC2 because you have to constantly hold down the left control key with your left pinky finger in order to remain "crouched". If you let up on that key, your now idiot soldier snaps immediately into a standing position as though he were on some freakin parade ground, and at once becomes a duck in a shooting gallery. Why in the world would Uncle Sam invest millions in a soldier WHO CAN'T EVEN HOLD A CROUCHED POSITION WITHOUT US HAVING TO CONSTANTLY REMIND HIM TO STAY CROUCHED? Of course, that says nothing about them just getting rid of "prone" altogether, and forcing us to hold down the left shift key to run instead of making it a toggle, as they should have done with "crouch". BF2's key binds worked great. Why did DICE decide to mess up such a wonderful pc series game by forcing lazy console/gamepad programming on it? Please DICE, if you love your games, you better fix this. Don't screw up MOH the same way you allowed them to ruin BFBC2's pc interface. BTW, you can't even macro it without PB thinking it is a hack.
I have MW1, MW2, and World at War and they're all great, but Black Ops doesn't look like an improvement. Just more of the same. Medal of Honor is something different and is supposed to have a great single player campaign. Oh, and adding Frontline in HD is icing on the cake because that is one of my favortie WWII games ever!
Let the Hellfire's do the work...flying in to a hot vill...risks two choppers plus crew....just does not make sense to me, one ship, in-op can't fight, sitting duck...not cool.
you dont even fly the damn heli, thats just silly. Its just one giant scripted set piece. Its not even about the gameplay experience anymore, its just about looking and sounding 'cool'. Not to mention, they wanted this to be realistic, but how realistic is a mission where some apaches fly to a town just to blow it to hell...if you are basically gonna launch rockets at a town indiscriminately, why not just drop a bomb and level the entire village?
@ asimplerapper Sorry to go off topic ppl, but everyone disappointed because you're the gunner on rails here should check out the new Ace Combat for the current systems if you haven't already. They've added heli's to the mix and hopefully we will have full controll over them; be a pilot and not just the gunner. This game by nature is a FPS. Us armchair pilots have to look elsewhere to fill that carnal urge. I think this does look awesome though; like the AC-130 missions from MW 1 and 2. They were the highlights of those games for me.
@e1337prodigy No, unfortunately there isn't. There's like predefined brick-built part of the wall that you can. And I don't know why they removed? They removed the best ability in that engine and without it, the engine is a crap. Movement is slow as hell and it feels like Im playing BC2! It would have been better if they used Unreal 3...
Has this got destructible buildings like bc2? Sometimes it looks like it hasn't but then there are buildings that seem to have chunks taken out.
@ingus122 Have you played the multiplayer beta? I have it installed on my PC, but it never finishes loading the game when I start it, so I never had a chance to actually play it. I want to reserve the game at Gamestop just for the exclusive MP7, but there's no point in getting it if the multiplayer sucks. Anyway, that video looked like it was just another rail shooter in a helicopter. I already got to do that in Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Show us something new... or at least let us fly the chopper.
gamingfrendly if you want reality join army small pokemon. Yes this game looks good, but it wouldnt beat up MW2 because multiplayer sucks.
I KNEW IT... EVER SINCE THE MEDAL OF HONOR BETA FOR THE XBOX 360 WAS DELAYED I HAD A FEELING IT WAS ON PURPOSE..... SINCE ACTIVISION singed with microsoft to have all of their map packs 1st on xbox 360 now Medal Of Honor and Bad Company 2 will have extra features for the ps3.... HA. stupid microsoft. i hope EA sells more than activision... since their games r better anyways.....
other then the explosions graphics looked awesome and it seemed decent but u cant tell much from that type of mission
me i think this is great and all but I personally prefer to PILOT the Apache though some people aren't vehicle buffs so you should be able to opt whether or not to take full control of the Apache like in BC2 which is too much fun. As for those people who say they no longer want it because of the beta=really? I wasn't thrilled either but the reason they MADE the beta is to correct the flaws look at how much different the BC2 beta was from the finished project. There were tons of "glich" areas that honestly were too fun and seperated out the noobs but weren't cheap because you were exposed but no one would think to look up there. The point is to fix the mistakes so you cant assume thats what the real game will be like only the shadow of it.
I don't have a PS3 but i think PS3 owners deserve that MoH Frontline game bundled in the package since MoH started on a SONY console (Even if PC gamers don't want to accept that fact and the fact that frontline is the best MoH) A game like this should be presented by Chuck Norris, not by some EMO Mike Shinoda...
@Deluhathol i didnt thumbs down your comment.. and er.. yea.. i guess.. kinda redundant tho.. o.o; and @alert0 mike shinoda failed the mission... -_-;
Mike Shinoda can actually shoot! Awesome! An FPS demo where I don't feel like complaining about how crappy the guy playing was :)!
