@Mon6ana The dreamcast was a wonderful system honestly. It was one of the first to have internet available on it, you could play bootlegged emulator discs on it and it would actually keep your save file, without any form of modding. That included NES, SNES, Genesis, Neo Geo, and many more. Also the Sonic Adventure series was popular and probably outsold both of these titles (though not better in anyway). I probably had about 15 games on my dreamcast that I thoroughly enjoyed. (plus about 1000 others when I used to be a no good bootlegger :D. Can't blame me I was just a teen!)
Knew this was coming, it's been in the rumor mill for a few years now. I believe it was a french Xbox Live beta program that images got released with a Jet Set Radio premium theme background that started the rumors. I hope this will supply funding for a third installation in the Jet Set series because I will definitely be buying this!
birthday cake was something special. TylerW is right on the money. If you hear it enough it drives you insane until you actually start liking it. Birthday cake is awesome =D
@TylerW Yes, it was indeed that particular song. The rest of the soundtrack from what I remember was excellent.
This is a must! Loved JSR & JSRF. Maybe if it does well we could get a full on AAA JSR 3. In the mean time Ill be enjoying this gem.
looks nice.....never played the original though. we didnt have a console and the only game i played was math buster by silicon and synapse
@-Unreal- If I had to wager a guess it'd be Cibo Matto's "Birthday Cake." I nearly felt the same way you did about it, but the more I heard the song, the more the irritation of it got under my skin. I eventually developed a Stockholm Syndrome kind of fondness for it, and as such, kinda dig it.
I had to go look but I found it. The song from JSRF that made me return the game. It was HORRIBLY bad. The soundtrack couldn't be customized either, so I had to either endure it or get rid of the game. I really liked the game too. That one single song completely ruined the entire game for me. Can anyone guess the name of the song?
See you at my job. You're carrying yourself so well. I made myself a promise, not to get emotional. As I remain stable, I take another glance at you. If we would have a disco, then I would have to dance with you. Hello Hey Allison I wanna hold your hand. I haven't been the same man since I saw you coming in. It's time I talk to the girl in Aisle 10. Haha Good Times. I'd buy this game for the soundtrack alone.
Day1 purchase! Cannot wait! I'm playing the GameBoy Advance version of this game on my HDTV right now on my FW 3.15 PS3 with Firefox, Open Office, Minitube, VLC movie/music player, Transmission Torrent unpacker, with Zerogame aka 40 Emulators (consoles/PC) with 60k roms/games (60k of old games are only 100GB lol) all mapped to play perfect with the PS3 Dualshock 3 wireless controller. ;-)
Great lookin game, and great style to it for its time. Wouldn't last more than a stage or two though as it gets old faster than I can even remember it..
hey i loved that in my original xbox title but this is not the one i have i have Jet set radio Future and it actually looks better than this anyway its on eof my best greatest uncommon games EEEEEEVER!!!!! ill still hope for JSRF 2 cmmooooooooooon do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!! the first is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome!!!
You know those games who were awesome when they came out but would suck if they were release today ? yea...
Cannot wait to play this! Such a classic on Dreamcast. Pretty disappointing that they took out the make your own graffiti thing though, seems an odd decision.
I have the Jet set radio future game on the original Xbox console :) I love this game...and the game soundtrack is awesome!
