Real shame Uematsu retired for mainstream composition after X. I wasn't aware he could speak English. He's definitely had a big impact on the gaming scene with the music he's composed.
When I listen to the Distant Worlds cds the scene for that particular song goes through my head. Sometimes I'll even tear up.
Well, it has a lot to do with the simple fact that Uematsu doesn't speak English. Not a problem in a 1-on-1 interview because they'd have a japanese person ask him the questions with no in-between, and just dub his responses. When the questions are mainly in english though they have to have a translator translate the questions to him.
i realy like that FF is back mainly on PC and Ps3 the music of FF is amazing and i hope this game is worth buying
I hope it wont suck like the the online one they made before ( i wont vene say the name ,not worth it).
@thepope21 i didnt even know Nobuo talked. i skiped half the video because the other guy was talking to much, and bland.
I was so happy when I heard NB was back for FF14. The last few just haven't been the same. Those soundtracks are so integral to the game.
When Nobuo Uematsu will come to Brazil? We have large communities who greatly admire his work here, surely he could run one of their biggest concert here, he has to come someday ...
This is cool :) I'm sorry I missed Stockholm though :`( Sweeden isn't far away... Come to Norway guys?? :)
I was hoping to hear more from Uematsu's side, but oh well, it's good to see that people behind the music of some of the best games are finally receiving the recognition they deserve. I would really love to attend one of their concerts if given the chance.
@ Axe_336 Ask yourself- would YOU be comfortable playing in a city with one of the highest murder rates in the country? Durr.
@prekabreki subtitles probably take longer to make, with editing and what not. Then again I'm sure if this show was hosted in Japan and Uemastu was American they'd dub him in japanese too
oh, my friends and i just saw this in SF last night - it was so cool, the music gave me chills. i'd really recommend going if you get the chance
I love the Music! I was working on a Final Fantasy VII Symphony! but accidentally deleted my work... T_T
How about asking Uematsu why he hates DC, since it's the only North America stop he's not confirmed coming to. :(
If you get the chance to go to one of these, you owe it to yourself to make it happen. I went a few years back in Detroit and spent most of the time near tears. Even if you hate or have never played the games, the arranged music is utterly beautiful, especially to hear in person. The concert series is a true labor of love and is technically superb. Go, just go...
@snaggleoooo Haha, really? My video stopped working and since we didn't get a mention before around halfway I thought it wasn't going to happen. Egg and my face are in alignment.
I really enjoyed the concert in Chicago in 2008. All video game music fans should go to one of these if they can.
Saw them live here in Stockholm actually, it feels too short, and some classics they didn't play. Think the original ff concerts in Japan are better.
I will never understand the constant need Americans have to dub people. I just think it's disrespectful to the person involved. Is it just for the benefit of blind people? Do people just not like subtitles in general?
And @ Transparanoia, Sydney was mentioned at the end of the video, so Australia will probably be visited.
sharup ... get the hell outta my sight ... there is no way i can lose !! said by Adachi the real killer from persona 4 !!!!
