I would be okay with the difficulty and lots of other stuff but I would much like it more if it was non-linear. At one time, they are trying to make it realistic, but it isn't free-roam.
was hoping that it would be open world exploration looting kinda game :( but keeping my hopes up as it seems to have an atmosphere like in movies BOOK OF ELI-THE ROAD etc hope ubisoft nails it
@yasso Just because the graphics are not as good as other games does'nt mean the [idea] of this game is ruined it still can be brilliant if you could just look past the graphics... i think iv seen worse graphics in a recently released game
It's probably too late to say this, but folks at Ubisoft Shanghai...the gameplay graphics, from the videos posted so far, are just way too outdated for this kind of game, at this kind of time. I mean, what were you thinking? :/ Quite frankly, most game players today (even if not all) would expect a game like this to have gameplay graphics like the ones used in the cutscenes and trailers! And the only reason why I'm bothering to comment at all is that the [idea] of the game is brilliant! It really is such a shame. *sigh* :/
i liked the surprise kill because the enemy thinks your scared of him backing away luring him away from his friends then BAM cut your throat less to deal with
@Mr_BillGates - "Ubisoft isn't known for good gameplay." ??? Your only example being assassins creed? What else? Mr_BillGates have you bothered to play 'PoP - Sands of Time', 'Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory', 'Far-Cry 2' or 'Rayman: Origins'? What a troll.
Ubisoft isn't known for good gameplay. Even their Assasin's Creed combat is heavily scripted, which becomes extremely boring and unchallenging.
Looks like great new game, giving lots of tension. It doesn't sounds like Left for Dead horror survival, with lots of guns, but more a almost physchological. You're just a man trying to stay alive like everyone else, and the people you encounter really reflect that post apocalyptic survival. Very, very interesting
well i think , it will be a good game that's why they took over 3 years making the game , also i think its , a cup full of uncharted , assassin , prince of Persia, ,, if they could choose the positive thing from this games, it just might well succeed
looks a little too scripted for my tastes. i wish they'd make a game that focused mostly on survival, and went really in depth with a physical well being system. go exploring and break a leg? gotta splint it and limp for a day or two (in game time). out of bullets? make a weapon. desperate for resources? set up ambushes along routes you know people travel. i wish dev's would make a game about survival thats actually in depth in terms of overall detail.
Take out perks, upgrades and V.A.T.S. from Fallout and you get I'm alive. Sounds interesting but not something worth keeping hopes up for but worth playing once I guess. Go, buy the game, play it and finish it. And then forget it.
This looks fairly unpolished, and rather uninteresting. Looks like a linear game, in a setting that calls for open world.
@adamomars I agree baddies walking directly at you is annoying, you think more games would make enemies more animated like in Uncharted or even Stalker the baddies in those games never stand still or run directly at you, if they do it's rare.
I feel like I'll be disappointed. Kinda like Brink when you see a really cool trailer, then start fantasizing what the game is like and it turns out to be something completely different.
graphics are dece and story is not-so original-but -still-cool. but why did that guy walk straight at him while he was aiming his arrow? and why is that in all apocolypse situations people start eating eachother? why not jsut hunt? idk about this one.
Reminds me a lot of Disaster Report for the PS2. If you've never heard of it (check it out here http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/disasterreport/images.html?tag=images&page=1)
Interesting idea, and as some Horror films have pointed out some times the scariest things are what people will do under these circumstances.
It "had" potential... and then Ubisoft being Ubisoft scrapped their initial ideas and went for the "safe" route... I want the "I Am Alive" game that gave me chills from the very first trailer. Not this...
game looks and sounds epic. definitely plan on getting it, provided reviews are good and there's no DRM
Honestly just look like they are curbing on Uncharted's success. The fact that he killed somebody and the guy still just simply walked up to him while he was prepping another arrow is a bad sign. Most likely will drop by the wayside and won't even hit Mirror's Edge status.
