Wonder what will happen if Sony follows suit with MS on alot of these policies (remember it has been shying away from alot of specific details lately)........could Nintendo FINALLY reclaim its crown?????
I don't need E3 to "clear it up" for me. I got a completely clear picture at the reveal.
Kinnect always on - yes
Used game fee - yes
Must connect to the internet every 24 hours - yes
Can NOT take games to friends house - yes
That all spells NO, as in - NO, I'm not buying an Xbox One.
Should have got it right the first time, good ambiguous start for Microsoft, trying to dip there hands in customers pockets before their console is even on the market, nice try if you ask me.
Opion I don't see much of a difference between the two. I have had in the past a Xbox the first one as well as a PS1 and 2 and then I got the 360 for Christmas once then I got a Wii and now a psp I think the first one. Now as far as the 360 goes that is a must for me for as long as I can get one do to Halo I still play this on MP not so much as single play so if they drop the prices on the 360 when the new one comes out I shall get a few and keep them as back up cause the new one is not BC wich if it stays like this and they do nothing to fix it well for me I will have no interest in the new one but time will tell.
I am a PC gamer and you cant turn in PC games. So if your issue is with trade ins.. the PC is not your choice. I dont believe you will be charged a fee to trading in a game.. gamestop will have to pay royalties to microsoft and the publisher when they sell a used game. Game stop pays you 25 bucks and they make 30 bucks off of you every time you trade in a NEW game. So basically gamestop will have to pay 10-15 dollars for every new used game they sell. I am sure the fee's for older xbox one games will be lower than of a new title. Gamestop can still have a very lucrative business even if they have to pay a few bucks to the pubs and console makers. I honestly feel like thats a fair deal. the publishers developers and console makers do all the work and then gamestop makes all the money off of there games. This hopefully should allow developers to have more financial resources when developing a game. That makes the most business sense from my perspective. Gamestop might low ball trade ins to accomodate there fees that they have to pay out. But I mostly do not buy games to sell them right back. For the most part I keep the game anyway, if it has any replay value.
they already answered all of my questions & showed us all much they are greedy assholes looking to grab a quick buck from gamers.
theres no reason to get an Xbox now, unless you are a Kinect fan, a sports fan, or a TV fan.
now that you cannot play used games & have to pay a fee to play them, you might as well own a PC, cause it does the same with better graphics & you will save tons more money on games. it might cost you a little bit more to pay for the PC but you will have instant savings on games & the cost for the games & not having to pay for internet, far outways the cost of buying an Xbox. plus PC online interface far outweighs Xbox. hands down, if your worried about controllers, all of your FPS games, play with controller.
if you want a cheaper console than PS4 is the way to go.
Xbox has never had dirt cheap game prices for their subscriptions. not the way Sony gives away several free games every week & if you count dirt cheap PC prices, its the most expensive.
you can get bundles of games for the PC for $1-$5 about 5 to 7 games, some are excellent games for what you get, Xbox cant beat these prices, some might be DRM but if Xbox wants to be DRM, then you might as well go PC & get instant savings & there are loads of free games for PC available that are good. look at Amazons Mayhem sale, that happens usually 5-6 times a year & Steams Summer, Winter & other sales followed by other sales through GoG, Green Man Gaming, GamersGate, & many others, not counting the Bundle charities, its pointless to even consider an Xbox.
i aint saying this to sway anyone, ive owned every Xbox product from when they first came out. its my disappointment that i have to part ways with Xbox cause i was looking forward to buying another one. i dont like to settle for one gaming system. just like ive owned everyone Playstation System that they came out with, have a PC, & own a Wii, & a Nintendo. the most out of all of the systems that i own are 3 original Xboxs. but they proved to me, that they could care less about their customers & partnered up with EA for a good reason. they share the same outlook for how they want to break a consumers bank & how they handle business & treat their consumers. to me it shows that these two corporations have the same business model which doesnt interest me. i dont cater to Origin
@Born_Lucky would still wait till E3 before losing all hope
@Born_Lucky agree completely garbage like windows 8.
i was thinking that blue ray disk will somehow lifted xbox in order to stay on one line with ps3 but i was wrong blue disk did not help at all, same trash like previous models.
@CaveManCobb PC games are much more numerous than console games and cheaper. There isn't as much need for a used game market. Digitally distributed games also render that somewhat moot too when you can get new games for half of what it costs on a console.
@CaveManCobb There are quite a few.
@guitarist1980 Gamestop will have to charge more to recoup the costs. Which means we pay MORE for used games. Bad for consumers.
Gamestop does not get all the profits for doing no work. The devs get plenty when it's sold new. Gamestop has to do the work of maintaining storefronts, buying the used game before they even know if they're going to resell, and keeping them on the shelves. MS/The Devs deserve no more of the used game market than the Dodge dealership deserves some of the used car salesman's profits from selling a used Dodge.
Ummmm, ok so:
1. If you got it all figured out, and already know everything, why do you keep watching these updates and news?
2. "No reasons"? - The x1 will get all the next gen gaming, plus 15 exclusives in one year, plus new (and cool) tv/skype/browse features, plus a cool (the best) controller ........
@zisek @HailHellfire The controller is the most important part barring that both consoles will be very similar. I will get both eventually but going with Xbox one first. Most likely.. I am surprised Diablo 3 is only going to the Sony route. The
15 exclusives in 1 year that has yet to be seen. its all talk. but there is more negative with their talk then there is positive. if you have the money then kudos for you. your pocket book will be well known at MS.
why not watch the updates. im watching the updates on the PS4 as well. lol! its a fascinating time in gaming history to watch the new consoles being unveiled & find out info about them.whether its bad or good. i dont watch TV, i game. if i want to watch TV i do it on my computer, & it does it like TiVo, without paying for it. like i said in my post, if you watch TV & pay for cable, then kudos, this will fit nicely for "those people," which from your comment, is you. i dont know what "cool" controller means? it looks exactly the same as their other controller, we have yet to hear what it does exactly or if there are any new features.
i prefer Playstations controller, it fits my hands better, i dont have huge hands. it depends on the person & their opinion. but to me, there isnt much difference to both Xbox & PS3s controller, except one is heavier than the other. you can browse on PS4 & a PC, PCs have internet you know, so that argument is pointless. & Skype, ive never used Skype in my life. if i need to, i use my phone, & i only do that with my family in another state. its a useless feature, which you can also use on your PC. like i said, it will work for some but it wont work for me. id rather save money b/c the PC does exactly what the Xbox does now, except with better graphics, removal parts that you can update, & lack of Fantasy Football. lol!
im only pointing out that its pointless to buy it if you have a PC or want to save money & buy a PC, cause in the long run you will save money. since the one thing that consoles did that PC didnt was share games. otherwise the thing is a cash cow. fat & hungry for your money. lots of gimmicks with little return for the gamers. i dont need a device that tells me i need to log in every 24 hours. i do alot of outdoors stuff outside of gaming during the summers. i dont need an electronic pet to take care of to keep it alive & well. its not my cup of tea
Your definition of cool confuses me. You talk like you don't own any of these features on your PC.
Although I agree the controller looks better than the ps4's.
@essam24 @oOhedzOo Yes an opinion. the xbox controller is my favorite controller out of all the console generations. I use to love my ps2 controller .. but when the 360 came out and I finally got around to playing with it.. I fell in love with it instantly.. and they just made it even better. This is of course opinion but if you polled hardcore gaamers I would say Xbox wins 65 to 70% of the vote.
@oOhedzOo I disagree PS4 controller is more better than the X1's. THIS IS AN OPINION.
